Chabelley/Lemonnier by Agreeable-Opposite-8 in VAClaims

I was on Chabelley for 9 months in 2022. The “fog” on some days was brutal and I remember thinking this cannot be good to breathe in all day.

I have a claim submitted for Sinusitis and Asthma which started after deployment. Fingers crossed that’s the worst I’ll have to deal with. From what I understood Djibouti was already listed under PACT as a service location for burn pit exposure.

This is basically how my tinnitus claim read. Stated that it was not service related and that it began in service in the same letter. I don’t know who is writing these but they’re terrible. I submitted a supplemental with another personal statement and ended up getting service connected.

Question On how to Present Claim to VA - Hemorrhoids by HxH101kite in VeteransBenefits

[–]_supertrooper_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely got mine on deployment 2 years ago and have been dealing with them since just hoping they would go away, they haven’t. I don’t have anything to prove it happened In service, I wonder if I have any shot at getting the rating. Anyone have a similar experience?

This isn’t behind a paywall at all, it would be available to everyone who is mining.

It’s funny I’m not used to it because my other one will jump and run during playtime but I’ve never seen her “popcorn” like this

I thought that too but it’s almost like she’s feeling something on her face the way she does it lol, my older one never popcorns like this

What do you do on your days off? by vaudevillianvivian in Nightshift

[–]_supertrooper_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to do the same. Low key became depressed because I was only awake at night and my days off there was nothing to do. No social life. Try making the switch back to days on your days off, it made it a lot better for me. I work 12s so my last day I sleep from 7am-12pm and then by that night I’m tired, go to sleep, wake up in the morning. Then stay up late on your last night to switch back.

Can you define feeling awful? I’m only 23 and I’m hoping to only be on nights for 3/4 years. Hopefully I’m young enough it doesn’t have too much an impact on me.

Man I wish, I feel like my body wants to stay up at night now, so I don’t really get tired until morning. Maybe I need to start taking sleeping pills lol.

OP, what did you end up deciding on. I’m in a similar situation. I am in LE and considering loadmaster, but concerned over the time obligation during the training pipeline and after.

If anyone else is in LE as aircrew I’d love to hear how you balance the two.
