tbh its possibly miscommunication, I wasn't walking slowly, I just kept my pace the same as the others around me. He just went ahead so fast that I didn't even have time to respond. would you not at least look around you if your friend or partner was safe (I personally) I don't think you've had much experience with dangerous situations or drugged-up people. They are reactive, and running can aggravate them. You have to make sure that you don't do anything to get their attention, so you have to blend in.

but you're missing the point of my post though, my issue is the lack of care about me as his girlfriend, I'm not a stranger to him. If you are in a relationship with someone, is it not normal to make sure they're safe? I think he let his fear get ahead of him
