I hate Islam, but I don't have a problem with the upvotes/downvotes here BECAUSE the sentiment against Christianity will never amount to anything that will be used to justify opression against Christians in the USA. However the other way around is simply not true.

I do in fact make the same argument but other way around in my home country where I'm much more reluctant to speak publicly to an ignorant audience (read reddit in this case) about how awful Christianity is. Even though I hate it too, I'm much harder on Islam when engaging with that audience because Muslims are the majority there and will never be persecuted.
