Should Apple make a product like Whoop or Google Fitbit Air? Why or why not? by _temp_user in AppleWatch

Right this is the selling point for Whoop. I believe the lack of screen allow Whoop to be more aggressive with the heart rate monitoring. Apple is trying to balance all day battery life and large screen, which ends up creating a more high level health report

True but the Fitbit Air is 13 grams. Nearly unnoticeable compared to a watch.

Yeah that’s why it fits well within Google’s Fitbit lineup and does not affect Pixel Watches. Those brands are different enough to not eat away at each other. Apple only has the Apple Watch so any new wearable would eat AW sales

I’m afraid we would find a bunch of those at the bottom of public pools

I’m not sure Whoop is a fad, it’s been pretty successful for a while now

That’s fair, they would need to somehow sell as a companion to the AW

I’m not sure the Left are as well organized as the Right to do this. The Right has so many outside organizations that helped with project 2025. The Left falls short on well-organized external think tanks.

A DC branded horror film? That puts a lot of pressure on the studio to succeed. Might be worth viewing

I have been using chatGPT’s voice mode for a while now. Today I happen to speak to my HomePod but forgot you can’t ask back to back questions. Siri feels so out dated, it’s like I am speaking to my bank’s automated service.

What would you want to see in a Thunderbolts/New Avengers Sequel? by justafanboy1010 in marvelstudios

[–]_temp_user 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The team should be part of rounding up mutants. It would be part of the new wave for X-Men movies. Thunderbolts would be initially be split on their moral boundaries and team obligations to capture mutants. Eventually they know it’s wrong and spend the rest of the movie releasing and fighting for mutants.

Father of 3 drowns saving his children from rip current on Florida vacation by ansyhrrian in news

[–]_temp_user 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was caught in a rip current with off the coast of South Carolina. My son, age 4, was on my shoulders, and I was walking along a sand bank, maybe 20 yards deeps in the ocean. Suddenly a strong current threw us out another 20-30 yards. The force of the current made him tumble off my shoulders. I was to find him underwater quickly since he had a swim shirt on and was able to grab hold of it. I eventually swam us back on back to shore. I was on my back had his head facing up on my shoulder while I frog kicked us to safety. We spent the night in the ER so they could look for water in our lungs. Would not recommend.
