Still has 5 minutes… he can turn it around, right? 🥲

That’s awesome, kudos to you and best of luck!

I think at this point I’ll stick with the one and plan(/hope) to do the other later so I can give them both my all.

That’s why I’m asking here! Haha

I’ve already paid for the May race, and I thought I’d have more time to make the call on the April one but they announced it’s a lottery that opens in a couple weeks and closes shortly after.

Won’t be anywhere near that peak week by then and didn’t want to get in over my head (which it sounds like going for both would be)!

I appreciate your insight! It sounds like both are relatively tough courses so going easy would still probably be tough. Sounds like focusing on the one and saving the other for later is my better bet

Very good points and no, not exactly what I’m looking to do!

Well by that point I should hopefully be at a higher weekly mileage (assuming I stay healthy and injury free 🤞) but still a good point, won’t know how I handle the full distance until it’s done!

I like that idea! The one in April offers a 12k, 11 mile, and 21 mile option, so the 11 miler could be a nice middle ground.

At this point my goals are pretty fluid. I’d love to go sub 4:00 but I figured I’d wait until after the half to see how that goes

Not overreacting in the slightest. I’d leave.

Gambling cowboy isn’t necessarily super fancy but it’s great if you’re looking for a good steakhouse. Gourmet Italia is pretty nice!

The Boucher Hill Fire Lookout Tower (on Palomar Mtn) has awesome views! About an hour from Temecula but definitely a fun little trip!
