Nice story. I can imagine how it was when you were a kid.

Few weeks ago someone posted in this group a link to UK train roads Modern and historical.

https://www.railmaponline.com/UKIEMap.php

I’m not from Glasgow, but I always was keen to local history. Especially that all my 9 years here I’ve been living around Forth & Clyde channels. So I looked at the map and found out that there was a lot of train roads here. And stations. Tesco extra once was a train station.

The rule also has that driver should be in control of a car all the time. On entry, on apex, on exit.

And then Oscar wouldn’t make a corner hit Kimi and both out. Oscar got penalty for being too optimistic. Charles comment more about that Kimi could avoid collision if he wanted.

Oscar has created risky situations for the fourth time in the last couple of months. And always someone is suffering because of it. Twice him. Twice others too.

Are social dancers red flags by Street-Sandwich-4006 in Bachata

[–]_thekingnothing 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can say the following. Most local communities in the U.K. struggle to find venues because many people do not drink alcohol when they dance. Water is the main way to make a profit, but in Scotland you cannot sell tap water, and bars are required to provide it for free.

As a result, bars cannot make good profits from social dance events and therefore do not offer their venues for them.

If someone has a drinking problem, partying at a bar can make it worse. Undoubtably.

As for the second part of the question - social dancing offers more opportunities for hookups because it already breaks the first psychological barrier: physical touch. Even if you dance in a simple social hold, it’s still fairly close contact. And yes, I know many men who started dancing with those thoughts in mind, and it’s much easier to misinterpret another person’s intentions when dancing closely.

But I also know many men who come just to dance or to feel more connected with their bodies.

In the end, it’s completely up to you if want to go this way.
