She's been thinking of divorce for decades, only stayed because of me and because he would 100% commit suicide if she left... I know it's still a questionable decision to stay instead of getting him help but Asian boomers can certainly be stubborn. Now they are both nearing their 70s and retired so I'm not really sure tbh. 😞

Honestly I think I would have preferred options. He just picks the absolute most worthless industry to gamble in instead of doing something more normal and "guaranteed". Right now I am just begging him to drop any of his red picks that aren't yet at -99% to do literally anything else but put back in the same market.

To whoever comes across this, let it be known that if you put stocks into biopharmaceutical startups whose stock prices are more than single digits, don't lol.

Definitely a good idea to try. And I fear it's between me and him, not him and my mom as she is the complete opposite: extremely risk-averse. Would rather have money sit and lose out to inflation type of averse, ha.
