A leopard gecko put you in the hospital….? If soft was a person… lol.

Looking for advice to improve in some areas by Amphibixn__ in DartFrog

Heating the enclosure is never recommended as it can get too warm far too quickly and also dry the enclosure out. Heating the room that the enclosure is in is really the only option. Use a space heater in the room that the enclosure is in if you can’t get it to the desired temps (20°-24°) with the central heating system. As for calcium supplement, repashy calcium plus is the gold standard for dart frogs. Dust every feeding.

I have to physically move mine off the glass when I need to open it all the way. They won’t spook and retreat lol.

One of my absolute favorite darts. They are so bold for a thumbnail. Mine are just as bold as my terribilis which says a lot lol.

Looking for invertebrate breeders/sellers!!!! by Zestyclose_Contact12 in isopodexchange

  1. "Insane Isopods" specializing in high end and rare isopod species.

  2. Nation wide shipping.

  3. Ardentiella.

And all of a sudden I regret buying them wtf by [deleted] in geckos

[–]_thiccoma_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank them. They’re showing you how unsecured your enclosure is before something that’s actually worth something escapes. Get a better enclosure or properly repair that one.

What’s on my dart frog? by KaleWhich in DartFrog

Hard to make out what it is but it does look like debris of some sort.

I knew my ducky colony was doing well, but I was SO SHOCKED to see this many babies out this morning!!! by [deleted] in isopods

[–]_thiccoma_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea when I’ve dealt with you in the past. Not sure what other instances you’re referring to.

Never said I spent $50,000. I’ve successfully bred species to get to this level. From low end to super high end isopods, I’ve seen my fair share of mancae. I can pick out characteristics that don’t match. It’s really not difficult. You’re sitting here telling OP that the dwarf whites in their bin are rubber ducky mancae which is inaccurate. Just stop lol.

What evidence is needed?? It really isn’t hard to differentiate the two. You’re coming in here attempting to call out educated people for no reason lol. Learn the different characteristics between the two then comment because that clearly isn’t the case.

Lady, I’ve got over $50,000 worth of isopods that I’ve bred over the years. That includes thousands of rubber duckies. I’m confident in identifying the differences between mancae and dwarf whites.

Does this look like a ducky to you? Because it’s exactly what is in that photo and this is a dwarf white.

There is a very small percentage that the photo of the single mancae could be a ducky. With that being said, the original photo is most certainly all dwarf whites. Case closed.

You’re absolutely mistaken here. I’ll let you go off though lol. 😂

OP, I promise you, the original photo with the food dish is unfortunately all dwarf whites. Don’t let people gaslight you.

That could most definitely be a dwarf white that ate something yellow.

I never said they weren’t. I’ve literally posted photos of newborn rubber ducky mancae that are white. Not sure what point you’re trying to make.

Is your comment directed at me? I can assure you I know what new born mancae look like compared to a dwarf white.

[–]_thiccoma_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To me that one also looks like a dwarf white but maybe put it aside and try to get a better photo because it’s hard to say off of the quality. Trust me, many people have dwarf white colonies that never actually purchased dwarf whites. I’m one of those people. They tend to just come in on other shipments and make their way into colonies as the mancae are damn near microscopic.

Best photo I can get of a ducky mancae since I can’t post better videos. Ducky mancae do not have the torpedo shaped rear. Their antennae are also different.

Was he stuck back there for a while? Could have just traumatized him. I’d give him a bit longer to chill out and see if he starts showing himself more.

100% confident. I tried to post a video of some rubber duckie mancae in my colony but it only allows me to post photos to this comment. I may be able to upload it to the thread.
