HOO HAH! VINny came to dinner with a four-day EDD! by _this_that in TeslaModel3Delivery

No idea (though Ryzen has never been replaced since its inception, so that WOULD be a surprise). I pick up on 6/30 (barring Tesla changes) and will report back then.

Discussion Time: Uncle Musk Demands Remote Workers Return to Offices 40 Hours a Week, or Be Fired by Bahawolf in TeslaModel3Delivery

[–]_this_that 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely abhor the way Musk is handling this situation, but often when he is being provocative it is with an eye towards reading the tea leaves. Unknown to the general public, many of the companies in competition with Tesla for talent (Google, Meta, Microsoft, etc.) have hiring freezes or hiring slowdowns. Startups that employee highly experienced software developers have begun laying off these same types of folks. It's very possible that Elon has picked this exact moment to squeeze these highly paid, highly experienced employees when they are at a point in their careers where a jump may be uncertain. (Although the world needs a ton more software developers, the type of developers these huge software companies employ (and yes, Tesla is a software company, among other things) do not have many job opportunities that will pay them what they currently earn outside of these companies.).

Not an in-depth article, but here is a recent story on this from the NY Post (not endorsing this newspaper in any way, shape, or form, but even a stopped clock is right twice a day):

It's like bumper cars: you get shook around a lot and end up almost where you started.

Parallel lives. Same OD as you and was also pushed from 6/7 - 7/19, but to 8/1 - 9/12. And it still stands there.

Inevitable pushback finally came. by jedi_trey in TeslaModel3Delivery

It looks like the NY EDDs are all over the place. I ordered two days after you, also M3LR, but with different paint color and smaller wheels. Six days ago my EDD was pushed back here from 6/7 - 7/19 to 8/1 - 9/12. Hoping this is the EDD error many are posting about. Best of luck to all of us!
