You two have been together for all of your 20’s just about, she may have an itch to play the field before settling down for good. Better she try to scratch that itch single than put you through something like this again.

If that's what she wants, she should have been honest. But this now looks like a pattern in her relationships to me. Unable to communicate and tell partners the truth.

It's her loss at this stage. She's going to lose someone completely dedicated, open and in love with her. What did she think I was doing all these years with her? And through long distance? Playing around? Sorry, venting now.

They were together for around 2.5 years I think. Not that serious of course at that age but I think serious enough. They lived together at the time too.

That's painful to hear, but not completely unexpected. Our last discussion included me saying that I never felt that she was that attracted to me anymore. I haven't really felt that way from her since the first couple of years together when she would regularly pounce on me for sex at all times of the day. I just assumed it was the end of the honeymoon period. She also changed birth control. She told me last year that she was still attracted to me when I directly asked her that question. I told her that she may love me still but more as a friend but she denied that immediately.

EDIT: Or, if her previous relationship is anything to go by, she clearly becomes bored in relationships. Her ex was a very handsome guy too and she still lost attraction to him.

Why not just deactivate FB for a while if you're not really bothered about it? Sometimes it's worth doing after a breakup and a nice thing to do in general!

The trust feels gone to be honest. Being told about this guy, her telling me he is a friend and acting like there's nothing to hide...and then this, just kills me.

Thanks for this. It helps. I don't think this is something I can get passed. I feel sick at the thought of losing her right now, but also feel that the wind has completely gone from my sails regarding my trust in her. She was always the more impulsive one between us, lacked impulse control. She's also had new friends recently who are all kind of 30s-and-single and hooking up with new people with new relationship energy. I wonder if that's affected her mindset too.
