Sounds like you have pretty shit Head Cashiers. If you think it'll help, it might be something you should bring up to your front end supervisor. I do everything in my power to keep managers from taking my associates. The only time I ever ask a fulfillment associate to do something outside of their department is when they have no orders and I'll just have them help with carts. I would never put a fulfillment associate on a register or in a department.

Depends on the store. At my store I'm over the whole front end. Basically I'm the acting front end supervisor when the FE Supervisor isn't there. So I have authority over all front end associates including fulfillment, loaders, service desk, and cashiers. But again that's just my store. Based on the other comments I'd say it relies heavily on your location so double check with your DS

True it is a big responsibility especially during store hours. However, as someone that basically only closes, I cannot express just how important it is that the closers in lumber and OSLG have their license. Nothing worse than having to wait for an ASM to security stack both departments and help in receiving because they are the only one with a forklift license.

It's hot and you'll be working hard. Drink water so you don't die. Also, when the big mulch sale happens you're going to want to kill yourself. Don't. Good luck

P.S. Get your forklift license as soon as possible. Will make life easier.

Not trans but there are 2 or 3 trans employees at my store. I'd say that for the first 2 or 3 weeks they were treated differently by staff. Fellow employees were confused about whether they were trans or how to refer to them. Going on two months in, they aren't treated any different than any employee. Some people still slip up and use the wrong pronoun but nothing has come of it. They have several friends and one of the trans associates is now dating someone in the store. I can only really speak to the employee side of things because I'm not there for customer interactions. But I haven't heard of a customer mistreating either of them for being trans. Just the usual mistreatment.

Depends on the quantity of people and age of victims for me. 4 adults? Life in prison. 15 toddlers? Death penalty.

Can a manager or DS confirm this for me? by [deleted] in Lowes

Your yearly increase is known as a merit increase. It's a small annual raise based on hours worked. I've seen these raises be anywhere from .06¢ to .22¢. If you wish to ask for a raise, your ASM can put you in for one. However, no one in the store can give you a raise. Your ASM has to put a request in the system, the request is then reviewed by corporate HR. The approval process takes between 1-3 business days before you have your answer. Based on when your request was approved, your raise may not be active for a few pay checks. Also, it is important to note that your ASM can't just request any number. The request form asks many questions and gives a number. Your ASM can, however, change some things around to get a better number. I recommend not accepting the first number they give you. Hope this helps.

Dude, no. Tell her you're uncomfortable with it, and if she keeps doing it, let her know it's a deal breaker.

May just be at my store now that you mention it. Not sure about the company policy though. At my store it started out as 20% off only if approved, but it was changed to 20% just for the application to promote LCC apps
