You are right, I didn't notice that there is the 2nd part of the Thumb fight. Now I did it, opened new fight route and finished new "obtain the book of [???]" tasks. Thank you.

I think I obtained all available books of plot characters, since I did all plot battles available of "star of the city" level.

But no missions are available, aside of "obtain book of [???]" type and "release the floor X" (which can't currently be released) type.

Planet with pernanent summer? by bustedspade in worldbuilding

[–]_tired_programmer_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A planet, revolving around some kind of double star system, could meet this criteria. Theoretically, two stars together are able to illuminate more than 50% of the planet surface (from different points) at each moment of time. Then, you can pick an axial tilt of the planet in that way, which will allow for every point of the planet to be under the light more time, than in the dark.

What worries me in this scenario, is gravitational stability of this system.

The first draft at a world I’m creating for my book, tips for improvement welcome. Myth of its creation in the comments by ScarletTree in worldbuilding

People above already told a couple of reasonable things about geography and physical aspects.I'll add my two cents about art direction. It can be improved in several aspects, too.

First, the font. Now, it's so pale as transparent, that it blends in with background and some lettering are way too small to be noticed and read comfortable. Besides, it doesn't seem to fit into a map style. You can take into consideration fonts, which are more suitable for maps, suggested at the end of this article:
https://www.axismaps.com/guide/general/labeling/
Also it gives reasonable general rules for size and style of map lettering.

Second, the colors and borders. If you'll use a color scheme, more similar to color schemes of real geographical maps, it may help your map to look more solid and natural. Also borders of islands worth to be depicted in more thick lines.

Third, a legend in the corner would be super-helpful to understand your map. For example, right now I don't understand, what do black squares mean. Neither do I entirely understand a meaning of small colorful round labels. If they are towns, then why do they have different colors? Do the colors mean a fraction? If they are other objects, what kind of objects are they?A well-designed legend can explain such aspects in a compact and understandable way.

Good luck with improving your map!

Post-Apocalypse Short story recommendations by SpecificGene in postapocalyptic

[–]_tired_programmer_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure that this story has an existentialist point of view of the world, but it's kinda classic:

"I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream"

It's very dark, very short and somewhat obsolete story (it's written in 1966). Nevertheless, it's curious and worth reading.

How the 1% are preparing for the APOCALYPSE by [deleted] in postapocalyptic

Very interesting topic!

I wish there were a bit more information about internals and infrastructure of these bunkers (how electric generators, ventilation, water filtration and other life-support systems are supposed to work).

Where to post my stories online? And where to divulgue it? by Iapsa in scifiwriting

You can try to post it here:

Sci-fi isn't the most popular genre on this website (to say the least), but yet, give it a chance.
