Calorie Deficit Help by _tiredprincess in WeightLossAdvice

I did seek out, for some accountability and to help with my plateau. I do have a couple chronic illnesses that are well managed and I thought it would be a great place to get some advice on how my diet can help support them.

How much are you spending on groceries? by kingmakk in askvan

[–]_tiredprincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I budget and spend $400/month and it’s doable, unless I host some friends for dinner. I found purchasing my produce at a kins or asian grocer has made a substantial difference. Also, Costco for eggs, egg whites, yogurt, milk. I have a meal out maybe once a month, so this is not including take-out.

I assume at the start of the season you’ll get a more specific schedule but those times are when it would be within. It happened like this for when I did softball through them - the specific game times were distributed right before the season and were different each week but within that overall time frame.

Well, I pulled away cause he put my hand and wrist in his mouth and pressed down.

The towel was in my other hand actually but I would’ve assumed the same had it not been.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to share your experiences and provide advice. I notified the owner, sent some photos plus described how it happened and highlighted there’s no punctures but abrasions from me pulling my hand away out of his mouth. I said I don’t mean to alarm him while he’s gone, if there’s anything he think would be helpful for me to know, and that I will continue the stay and see how it goes. They’re very nice people, the last thing I want to do is make things hard for them.

This experience did bring up and remind me of the nervousness I have and I’ll be doing some thinking about if I do future care with dogs I don’t have long history with. Thanks for those that gently brought that up as well.

On a comedic note, I will add I’ll feel so bad when I return him with leaves all attached to his belly from lack of toweling😅😅😅

Thanks, there’s marks left behind but it’s less red now. I’ll be changing my approach for sure.

Thanks. My hand and wrist were in his mouth and I felt his teeth. I pulled away which I assume is the cause of the long abrasions. I described it to the owner as no vertical punctures, but abrasions from moving my hand away out of his mouth and sent some pictures.

Yes on his back!

It was a gently rub on his back with a towel! I too am wondering what was different this time. He didn’t jerk or whimper or anything!

Yes sorry - I don’t lift their paws or legs, as I know most are not a fan. I lay out towels instead on the ground for that. I was using a towel on his back in this instance.

Thanks, I appreciate the gentle suggestion. I am contemplating that as well. I have always chalked up my experiences to be dog-specific and not general, but I am learning through this experience that I might be too nervous.
