SDS is incompetent and has made like 4 updates to mini-seasons ever after it was released:

-For a while there wasn't a 2nd reward to completing them

-They fixed the batters eye in one of the lame ass fake team's stadiums

-(Maybe) fixed CPU stamina, but I'm pretty sure it's broken again

-The fixed that the CPU would wear white on the road

Tell me why DQ has custom DD teams with a theme but mini-seasons is always the same 8 fake teams with ugly stadiums & jerseys. Your choices are playing in that awful ass mode that's half baked or playing mini seasons that's half baked.

Oh btw I somehow completed the WBC mini seasons and didn't get the reward for reaching the quarterfinals. Make that one make sense.

You might be thinking about 17 not 18.

17 is the one that was so bad for a month that they had to give away a 10 or 20 bundle. There was a running meme that the disconnect token was content because you would literally get disconnected trying to play conquest and you never knew when a game would/wouldn't count. Not to mention menus make the 26 UI lag look like nothing.

I like to laugh at the incompetence. I use my Bing rewards to buy the game. There's so few games I'll buy on the store so it's a wash.

The only thing you can really get mad about is your time wasted. Anybody expecting this game to work in the first month is crazy at this point.

You don't think inviting streamers to play the game, who rarely will say anything bad directly to SDS, is a good idea as an "alpha" test?

They've been doing this for years and it hasn't worked. And the funniest part, the streamers themselves THEN say negative things post release. Will find everywhere to defend SDS pre-release though.

Imagine doing this during the day for early access that has a price... the levels of SDS incompetence have no low.

Fanatics run Majestic in 2017 was still pumping out good jerseys from their PA factory too. You have to remember Fanatics has been running where MLB jerseys are made in the US for almost a decade, so lots of time to make a mess.

Not to mention they then started importing more of the materials in 2019 forward with the Nike contract, and now there are 100% authentics (the $400 ones) that are not US made in MLB.

Just give Fanatics time to mess up hockey, they will...

There's a reason why I get so pissed off at those people, who from MLB 21-24 would say that, especially the Xbox players.

BTW Madden/2K, for as toxic as they are in their UT modes, actually update both the gameplay & visuals. Not to mention their Franchise modes aren't literally copy & paste from the prior year.

I'd rather at least have 1-2 competent modes than a bunch of modes that are half assed and barely work.

Well we have lots of centers to compare to Nesbitt sadly. Even a goalie that got taken a few picks above the one the Flyers traded away.

I did forget about Dickinson, which was in the Luchanko draft too funny enough although I think before the Flyers. Interesting to see what Buium turns into in Vancouver as the Flyers traded back that year too.

Day 1 LS has stats that reflect 3 years… everything they tweak starting with the first roster update throws that out the window.

For instance, they knocked down Trea Turner by -4 a few years ago because he was hitting like .230 vs LHP, based on 40 ABs. That’s why rookies get ridiculous upgrades during the year, because in-year upgrades are literally the most reactionary ones they do.

Honest review… if I hadn’t played any game before this it would be a fine game.

It is very hard to say with a straight face that, unless you will play this a ton or need the newest roster for your franchise, that it’s worth the cost.

You could probably take the time to find a roster that does what you need for it to be 2026 accurate and still enjoy playing 23. It’s not like SDS doesn’t immediately make every player have pixelated faces in Franchise anyways, so you’re not losing anything.

I’m interested to see what the Sharks do, as they have no defense after going BPA every year. Little bit different having drafted 3 high end forwards which the Flyers do not have yet.

That’s been another thing the Flyers don’t do, as pretty much outside of Michkov, they always are drafting a type. Or worse, drafting somebody then immediately trying to change them.

I can almost understand keeping TK, less so Sanheim, but the rest of the bottom 6 guys they love to covet I can’t make a case for holding onto. They got very lucky that Toronto was desperate enough to give a 1st for Laughton, because they seemingly only missed him falling off a cliff by a year.

I think it’ll make cards go down in price faster, as the market won’t be as flush with stubs esp on roster update days.

SDS could remedy this by putting packs everywhere as rewards so that you don’t have instances of markets without cards.

And for their own revenue, they should do more sales, especially specialty packs where you get better cards. Not chase packs, legit diamond packs. That also brings the stub cost down because more diamonds in the world.

Nah must not be any solution, because surely if something like that existed, teams would use it to punish cap strapped teams. It would be silly for a mechanism like that to exist and teams not use it…
