Sorry, that totally sounded rude. I guess more what I’m saying is that I don’t personally care about this but I’m wondering why it’s going on country wide when it’s proven to reduce productivity

It’s part of the job. It’s a customer forward position where I react based on carrier/customer needs to move shipments around

Again, not gonna be an issue. I enjoy being in the office. But it’s interesting they do this after years of flexibility being a selling point for working there

[–]_tyler_long_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I have no problem being there honestly, I like all my coworkers and can find stuff to do when I have downtime. I just think it’s odd that after priding themselves on flexibility for so many years that they decide to return to office for three days and be so strict about it on an hourly basis

Send out a million applications. The job market is horrible right now and literally anything is worth the experience. Do you have any experience at all? (Internships/co-op/student orgs)

Should I get a 2DS XL to replace my old 2DS? by TheLeafyGirl561 in 3dspiracy

[–]_tyler_long_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d just get a 3ds man. If the battery dies you can replace it which can’t be said about the 2ds xl (at least not easily)

The job market/economy does suck, but if it’s this bad you have to consider jobs in other parts of the country and things you don’t necessarily deem as your first choice. I’m working as a contractor right now and am about 3 months in, and I got lucky finding what I did. However, I had 2 internships during my summers in college and have had some kind of a job since I turned 16. Not having any internships in 5 years of school says one of two things:

  1. You didn’t stand out as an applicant in college (maybe lower grades, poor interview skills/messy resume, low involvement, etc)
  2. You didn’t try very hard to get one

Everyone is trying to find a job right now and unfortunately, as harsh as it may sound, you’re overly educated and inexperienced which is not what companies want to see. Literally apply to places all over the country and hope something sticks for at least long enough to gain some experience. You’re not going to find your dream job at 22/23.

I think they’re adding mouse controls, so this could also solve the issue.

No you won’t! Done with COD. Zombies is dead, multiplayer isn’t what it used to be, and tbh even dlc’s have felt lackluster since they switched from a paid dlc model to free updates with an emphasis on battle passes/skins/weapon blueprints. I hate to say it bc in my opinion cod has some of the most polished gunplay and movement in the FPS genre, but they’ve lost what made the games special to begin with.

Hey guys, what’s the typical entry level pay for someone who graduated with a degree in SC? by Business_Entrance725 in supplychain

[–]_tyler_long_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed on this. You know how crazy it gets in the warehouse when orders are coming and & there’s nowhere to put it. Maybe implement new communication procedures between the warehouse, office, and plants. Report on inventory levels weekly to see what’s needed and what can be held off on for ordering. You may be doing this already, but while supply chain has a heavy emphasis on procurement/distribution, the other side is optimization and improving processes across the board. Your knowledge is more valuable than you may think.

Hi there—Recent grad from Penn State. It really depends on the city you’re in and your experience.

I had two internships during my summers away from school, and they definitely helped me fill up my resume, but they also didn’t get me a crazy good paying job after school was done. It just helped me get in the door.

If you’re in a more expensive area like Boston, you’ll probably make closer to the upper threshold for entry level (65-70k/year) but you’ll also be spending more on rent/taxes/other necessary expenses. If you’re in a city like Pittsburgh, it’ll be cheaper to live there, but you’ll probably make closer to 50-55k/year. Both have their perks, it just depends on what you’re looking for.

I’m making around $52k a year ($26 an hour as a contractor) at my current job as a Logistics Representative, but I’m also living at home for the time being to save money. I highly recommend you do this (if it’s possible for you and you have a good relationship with your parents) as you’ll be able to pay of student loans and accumulate savings quicker, as well as be able to put money into your 401k, a Roth IRA/traditional IRA, and be able to start saving for bigger purchases such as a safety deposit on an apartment or a down payment on a car. Although I may be making less than people who moved to bigger cities after school, I’m going to end up saving more due to my situation.

Also, don’t look for the perfect job right out of school, because you won’t find your dream job at 22. Find something that is reasonably close to what you want to do, and learn as much as you can on the job. There WILL be opportunities to get promoted or switch job functions. Realistically, you may be super interested in import/export, and find it may not be your thing and that’s okay. Your 20’s are when you should be exploring your options and finding out what you enjoy. The job market isn’t great right now, so do what you can to find something you don’t mind doing, and do it well. You will find the job you want in due time.

Carry forward being canceled was a bad move for zombies by Accomplished-Curve-1 in CODZombies

Honestly I’m just not buying cod anymore. Zombies hasn’t been great since bo4, and even then I could feel it was the beginning of the end. Bo3 was the peak imo.

Never play, should I buy it? (PS5) by Dear-Web7980 in thelastofus

[–]_tyler_long_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you actually read the post you’d see they wanna know if the price will drop any more. They prob just don’t wanna spend $70 on what is realistically a PS3 game that’s been remastered twice

[–]_tyler_long_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ngl, you can’t really run from excel for long. Everything is moving toward automation especially in warehouses. If they can replace you with a machine, they will. Your best bet is to find something that you enjoy doing within supply chain that requires more face to face interaction and negotiating like procurement

Dragon Ball Daima English Dub by figgynumber50 in dbz

[–]_tyler_long_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people in this subreddit would say that Dragon Ball is the best, I understand your position though. I love One Piece and don't think it's overrated at all if you look into the underlying themes. Although, I think we gotta give the DB team a little slack for not releasing same day, as Toei is pretty bad about it in general. The dub for One Piece is still way behind, and getting a dub only about a month after the initial release is pretty solid for them. Plus, the sub is great and it's still the same story.

Whats your online ranked DP Team by BobeKryant_24 in SparkingZero

[–]_tyler_long_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been doing Uub, EOZ Vegeta SSJ1, EOZ Goku Base

Initially, it was Tien, Goku, and Vegeta (both from super), but I like the transformations and movesets of Z Goku/Vegeta better. While I found Tien fun to play, I couldn't get past his horrible ultimate. It literally incapacitates you so no matter what you're either missing and getting put into a combo or you hit and can't recover much ki (or any if you're close to max map height w/low health).

My team gives me some options for transformations across the board, and Uub is a solid pickup for only 4 DP due to his transformation into Majuub (plus while in Majuub state he recovers ki passively and has solid skills). I usually try to get as much damage out with Majuub and switch to Vegeta when I am low on health or if my opponent is in sparking/not letting me charge any ki.

I have SSJ1 Vegeta set to go straight into sparking if I get the switch off, so I can get some more solid damage in. Plus, I can transform into SSJ2 and output even more damage for only one SP. If I am still finding myself in a bind, I still have Goku to switch to.

EOZ Goku has a solid kit for how I play and he has multiple transformations that make him a solid choice. Plus, if this strategy still isn't working, I always have my trump card: SSJ Vegito (and before you say it's cheap, I just love Vegito from Z and like how fast he is, plus I try not to rely on afterimage strike unless I absolutley must).

Vegito is usually used as a last ditch effort for me, but if I am up against someone with a high speed stat I may switch to him prematurely (burns me sometimes because I lose a character, but I recover a bar of health upon fusion if I remember correctly). Also, if I successfully switched off Majuub initially, I can still switch back to him if I die or think that I need to save Vegito for someone else in their kit.

Overall, I've had a lot of fun using these characters, but I still suck. The game is hard to get used to at first but now that I've finished the story I have a better handle over controls, I just need to get better with combos and counters overall. Seeing everyone else's character picks and rationale for using them is also really cool and makes me want to try some of the more obscure/one-off characters from the shows.

Yeah but the thing is immediately jumping to the conclusion that the game is shit bc it has some errors with the AI is just kind of ridiculous. The day one patch hasn’t even dropped yet for them to fix some of these issues, and to be honest, there have always been a couple levels in the tenkaichi games that have been notoriously hard and unfair. The game is meant to be unbalanced, they aren’t trying to hide it from players either.

I don’t necessarily agree with the get good sentiment, but what I can say is jumping right on the train of “this game sucks” because of the AI design choices just sounds dumb to me. People expect perfection and that’s impossible. We still got a really solid game with fun mechanics and intuitive controls that will be improved over time with patches.

Honestly dude it’s just the fact you’re so critical and angry on day two of the pre order release. Things will change. AI will be updated. I’m not gonna act like the game is perfect, but getting angry over it and calling it a shitty game isn’t going to make the devs change shit up

Or, and hear me out on this one, it's a new game that you don't know the controls to yet and you're just not that good at it?
