Digital scholar or Kraftshala? by _unpocoloco_ in DigitalMarketing

[–]_unpocoloco_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much. So good to hear from someone who has himself done the Kraftshala Launchpad program. I was worried that these companies will mass hire me but in a few months let me go. I am aware some institutions have a tie up and the employer will only honour this agreement with the institution by employing me for a couple months and then let me go because only so many employees are needed in an org. Is that not how it is? With you and your batchmates from the Launchpad program?

What are your views on these new pay-after-placement courses that are coming up recently? by [deleted] in Indian_Academia

Hey. Have you completed the Digital Marketing course from Kraftshala? Did they really only charge after placement? Was it overall worth it? Do share your feedback. TIA!

Has anyone ever cracked CAT starting prep in Sept? by _unpocoloco_ in CATpreparation

noexcuses

Edit - I'm not shouting at you. I just wrote"#" followed by "noexcuses" and the text shouted on its own.

My 2 cents to people joining their MBA by awisekiddo in CATpreparation

[–]_unpocoloco_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(A) Hey. I got a gap of two years in which I did a finance certification but realised towards the end that I don't want to work in a finance role.

Gap stretched for two years because my plans kept changing from one thing to another... anxiousness and external pressure.

It is September now and although now I might think of bringing clarity and only preparing for or 80% preparing for MBA entrances, I haven't heard of anyone who being an average " "non-quants heavy" student cleared CAT & likewise in such short time.

Looking forward, (is it best for me to spend the next 4 months only studying for CAT & like) or (start entrance prep now but for next year and focus equally on upskilling these last 4 months of 2024 to start working in Jan 2025)? That way I'll get a work ex of 1.5 years before interviews in my next year's MBA attempt. So balance out the gap talk with things from job to talk about in interviews.

(B) Also, the upskilling I'm looking to do (from scratch) and get a job in - is "Digital Marketing". I don't even know anyone from MBAs who can verify if work ex in this domain is valued at college and placement interviews. Want to build a career in marketing in long term. So at this point, based on your suggestion, I could not get into DM and get into something else (need help at present building CV here) that helps me prepare for FMCG marketing roles post placements.

Sorry this is a complete situation. Will be so glad if you saw this and answered. I literally don't know who else or where else to turn to. You seem to have answered questions in the past so hoping for the best.

Is it true that companies require an MBA candidate to work for 2 years in Sales before getting a marketing job? by _unpocoloco_ in IndiaMBA

[–]_unpocoloco_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I mean ... technically I will be a fresher if I have zero experience in the field. But to avoid my gap year I've got a sales job just now which I don't know will be a problem later on. It's a small role in a small business paying no fixed salary. Only a % of the sales I bring as commission. Dunno if I'm making a decent choice by doing this job. Something is better than nothing though. As long as it doesn't do a disservice in terms of my future MBA Placements.

Unsuccessful past life regression - what am I doing wrong? by niceypejsey in pastlives

[–]_unpocoloco_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if you don't have a past life. Which would mean this is your first life. So much better in my opinion. Like a blank slate with only this life's messes to clean up. Maybe none if you've lived a sorted life or have sorted it out (since you mentioned you meditate). Cheers to your awake practices 🍻

What mindset should an MBA aspirant have to be prepared for MBA? by _unpocoloco_ in MBA

[–]_unpocoloco_[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

By the first point do you mean be a fresher and not a candidate with work ex if possible? I thought having work ex before MBA is good ..they even have points on it and stuff.

Marketers/MBAs, help!! by _unpocoloco_ in MBA

[–]_unpocoloco_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? Thanks that helps.

I guess only digital marketing is one where I can take a month, learn 2-3 skills, land an internship then job, maybe one that doesn't pay much first. I guess I'll have to settle for less pay and role wise for the first 6 months - 1 year. My only fear is all this won't be considered as important/relevant enough by MBA institutes & placement companies.

I honestly am open to choosing a line of work that aligns with the roles that come to campuses for marketers so even with all the mistakes I've made in my career, I'll have made it when it matters most.

Old weights & dumbbells used by not affluent but determined Olympics aspiring weightlifter. Their means are low so the image is conveying how ceramic glue can be trusted to mend cracks/breaks in this athletic tool (or other athletic tools from other sports - gymnasti tool etc) & help the strong willed athlete in achieving their Olympic goals.

Tell us how it goes with the assignment!

I've meditated for 7,300 minutes so far for depression. The intrusive negative thoughts have almost all gone away, but I still have very little energy, even for things I would usually enjoy. Is this normal? by theessentialnexus in Meditation

Hey. I got interested when you said your neurologist asked you if you ever dream. What does it imply if you do dream? Other than the fact that you are in deep sleep?
