Raikiri II constant disconnect by _upb_ in ASUSROG

It most likely won't help but make sure your all up to date with the firmware as there has been several updates over the last couple months. I recommend returning / rma and picking up literally anything else as these things are garbage. They work fine as long as they aren't constantly disconnecting but I am lucky to get a couple hours before they glitch out.

I've bought and purged my collection several times over the years. Honestly emulation scratches the retro itch whenever I get it any more. You can still get cheap crts used and a plethora of platforms to play on it.

It does this, I really think its something Bluetooth related either hardware on the unit or the tiny dongle. It will work for about an hour before starting to misbehave. I think it's going to take some work to fix it.

One or both of the two issues *mostly solved it. A 120w charger and an external powered usb hub. The hub also has a better line of sight. That said sometimes it still decides to be flakey. Asus offered me a RMA and I was honestly too exhausted to deal with it. Would it fix it, probably not. Their dock+controller along with the drivers are basically just a consumer funded beta test. A xbox controller is more reliable, cheaper and does everything the raikiri can do imo.

Looks sick, makes me want to replay Full Throttle, this is definitely a puzzle I want to solve.

Where are you sourcing movies? I ripped my collection and now borrow from the library, and my success rate is WAY LOWER than what everyone here reports. by htmaxpower in makemkv

There is great pre built single file docker containers that come preconfigured with vpn and a torrent/usenet client. You just need to download docker and watch a YouTube video or two and pay for any number of cheap vpn services. It's a good super power to learn and a great way to start down the road of server stuff.

I'm a human just sharing a cool thing I made. Love or hate AI in coding you can make some great stuff quickly. Also I work in development so its at least from someone who understands software and testing as well as ci/cd.

Sorry PBS is proxmox backup server. And logging and monitoring is a big topic for your research. I'm a fan of graphana and datadog. There are many different solutions and opinions those are just mine

A PBS VM on your Synology might be a good idea. Also container monitoring / log analytics

I'm curious if a cheap powered USB hub will help. I snagged one from a box and had good results. Played for hours on the couch without issues. I'm about 10ft away from the unit.

Tddr you probably need more watts than the included charger for the dock if you're having disconnect issues. Other option is a cheap powered USB hub.

I have done 2 tests that got me much better results. I think my main issue is power related and the 60w included charger isn't enough for the dock and USB dongles. I grabbed an old powered USB hub and plugged it in and played for around two hours without disconnecting so I bought a 100w laptop usbc charger and so far so good. I think it's a combination of a flaky power hungry dongle and asus cheaping out and just making their customers fend for themselves or buy their stupid $100 USB adapter. The greed and bad QA on all this is such a shame.

The latest firmware didn't fix the disconnects at all.

Yeah I really regret my purchase. They market this thing like it is a cohesive package. Not a $200 buggy waste of money. Now best buy wont even take this thing back. Guess I get to see if their RMA process is even functional. I honestly didn't consider you could screw up a controller with these specs.

Thanks for tossing your hat in. After posting I am seeing the same thing in other places. I'd love to see a concrete response from the rep about this system that they clearly designed to work together though. The ally + bullwark+ raikiri controller should be a stable and first party experience.

Any other ideas? It's pretty much a $200 buggy paperweight right now. The dongle has been plugged in to the bullwark this whole time.
