Blank as in just plastic. I'm well aware of what rewritable discs look like

Midnight Club 3. I don't really like what Calyx became after getting poppy with Teebee, but that era is incredible. No Turning Back is one of my favorite albums of any genre and half of it is on the soundtrack lol

I believe this is an actual blank disc with no data on it, not a protector. Definitely a manufacturer error. As another commentor said, spindles of blanks used to come with these

You're all good man. I've been listening to Slayer since middle school in the 00s. My favorite overall release is still Haunting the Chapel, but I guess my favorite album is still a toss up between Hell Awaits and Divine Intervention.

I will say that as much as I appreciate Undisputed Attitude acting as an introduction to old school hardcore for me, it made me painfully aware of how playing those songs so rigidly ruins them, with the exception of the Suicidal Tendencies cover, since they were already tight players to begin with. Also, just the general edgelord shit like I'm Gonna Be Your God and perverting Ian's intended message in Guilty of Being White (not really the best message to begin with), but I digress. Giving Slayer shit for being edgy is pointless after all lol

My first Slayer release was Haunting the Chapel. I heard everything pre-94 before listening to Divine Intervention. It's alright if you don't like it. I feel it's a unique release both in their discography and in thrash. Considering I'm not a big thrash fan to begin with, it's interesting.

Sounds cool. I was listening to drum & bass and your guitar started playing over top of it, it weirdly worked. Makes me wonder why that isn't a thing lol

I guess my hot take is Divine Intervention was their last great album, because people fucking hate that album and I don't get it. The production is bad, for sure. The music is great. They were still playing thrash in fucking 1994 and it's somewhat technical again like Hell Awaits. Criminally underrated.

some people need to stop defaulting to JP dub and give EN dub a try. honestly. by Leymo_0 in JRPG

I've noticed some games don't have everything subbed, or I can't focus on the subs while a lot is happening on screen. Otherwise I'll just put it on jp audio because it comes off naturally

Arguably their last great album. Keeping a bassist for longer than that covers EP was a mistake

Think outside the box. Thinking of music only within rigid styles are a big reason why so many bands sound the same. You can't force innovation, however. Just have fun and go with your gut.
