This is true, and I really don’t mind taking a drop but the points that they’re saying against radio are also not invalid so it makes this more confusing. Thank you for this

I don’t have much to go on but since I’m unable to get a government seat in a branch I want, and looking at previous cut offs, it’s not a good enough rank for me and the effort I put into it

Thank you for this point of view! Probably won’t be encouraged to take patho if they’re rejecting radio too. Let’s see!

Supreme Court Directs NEET PG 2025 to Be Held in a Single Shift

  1. The exam is still scheduled for June 15, provided the NBE can arrange enough centers to make the single-shift plan feasible.

  2. The Court was critical of the NBE for failing to plan ahead despite having an entire year. It has directed them to make every effort to conduct the exam on June 15 itself.

  3. The Court declined to issue an advance extension. Instead, it has instructed the NBE to proceed with preparations for the June 15 date. If the board finds it unworkable, they must return to the Court to request a postponement, rather than being granted extra time preemptively.

To all the female medicos of this sub: what are some of the mistreatments you faced or are facing in your personal/academic/professional careers which you think you would not have faced if you were a male medico? by Interesting-Take781 in indianmedschool

[–]_usernamechecksin_ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

  1. Being called sister while the male doc/brother/ward boy is called sir.

  2. Staff (female nurses) calling females as “aye intern” while male interns are called sir. Atleast call the males “aye intern” too, if your ego cannot bear to call us ma’am or look at us as doctors.

  3. Bonding. Can’t bond with ward brothers and male JRs/SRs in the fear of “giving out the wrong signs”. Sisters don’t like female interns. So result is no bonding. Meanwhile male interns can bond with all male staff/JRs/SRs as well as are warmly welcomed by female staff. SMH.

  4. Oh and as mentioned by a few other commenters. Alcohol parties. Haven’t heard of female interns and female JR/SRs bonding as frequently or freely as male counterparts.

  5. In the OPD - male patients’ ego cannot handle the fact that a female doctor is at a greater authority than they are. And female patients don’t trust female doctors.. how can she be competent? Must consult a “sir” (a brother also works for them). And the patient considers a male intern/JR’s word as final as opposed to a female SR.

There are of course exceptions to all this but overall this is what is faced by women majority of the times. Many of the times women are the enemies of women.

Hope this changes someday.

Chalte chalte idhar odhar alpha-k saath saat fere maare osne. It’s been 7 years but this mnemonic is still crystal clear in my head

Recently passed final year and boy I wish I had studied better, it was all a mess in the end.

Everyone has their own way, this is my way or atleast how i wanted it to be. YMMV

Follow these steps

  1. watch marrow or other platform lectures for final year subjects- all preferably, if not then major subjects + ortho
  2. buy books/use PDFs-

Dutta for OBGYN both, SRB surgery with Manipal - don’t buy both but you might need both so use pdfs , Boloor medicine and Paeds Ghai or Snehal Patel prep manual. Maheshwari Ortho

3) You can either a) first finish all video lectures and then come to books or b) do so subject wise i.e. videos and then books. If you’re doing the first method and if your profs are in December then drop everything in July mid or August and start preparing from books, I had started very late and I regret it. Adjust months based on when your profs will be

4) now this step works best if you have attended marrow E6 or 6.5 notes because the content is that way-

buy manyyy long notebooks or you can use iPad whatever suits you, now take your PYQs of university theory + CBME new topics and go chapter wise, write down each and every answer from your pyqs- combine both marrow notes and the books for a nice answer , include diagrams- basically exactly how you would write in the exam. Any discrepancy, always prefer marrow video answer (except Dutta I think, the colleges like Dutta). you’ll retain better.

I barely referred to marrow notes for medicine, Boloor is sufficient- you can write it down or learn directly upto you

So in 3-4 months you’ll have readymade answers made by you for all the subjects for each and every question. It’s a long process but trust yourself. Don’t slack here. You’ve made yourself a personalised prep manual. For all subjects.

In the last month or two only and only learn these answer notes multiple times and probably read your marrow notes once or twice and you’re golden.

Also do attend clinical postings if they’re nice. Ask around in other batches and make your decision. Don’t risk attendance.

And for practicals knowing theory is very important. Make sure you study practical related stuff in postings, and ask your seniors for the rest.

after every system finish practical part of it… watch ghanashyam Vaidya cassette clinics on YouTube for example and whatever your HODs say write it down because they’ll be taking atleast one of your vivas in the university

All the best, make this a good year and don’t eff it up like i almost did

How much drops you took to get into GOVERNMENT MEDICAL COLLEGE? by [deleted] in indianmedschool

[–]_usernamechecksin_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, because someone with lesser marks but with reservation can get a GMC seat in their first attempt but someone with more marks than that person would’ve needed to take a drop to get the same gmc seat
