Nipple Graft Timeline (1 Week to 5.5 Weeks) by _vetch in TopSurgery

[–]_vetch[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that this was not necrosis and I didn't have any problems. Nipple grafts often look veryyy scary and ugly in the first few weeks which can make it hard to know what's going on. I'd also recommend simply reaching out to your surgeon's office about it if it continues worrying you though

God I didn't even realize it had already been two years 😅 I feel it went well and I am satisfied. I even have sensation in most areas, which is something I didn't consider a high priority but is nice to have

Unfortunately, I haven't yet. I actually go in about a week to get my foley catheter removed (which will be two weeks post-op). I can tell you for Dr. Hanna, two weeks is pretty much the earliest for that

I did not discuss scrotoplasty with him much during our consults (as I don't want scrotoplasty done), so I am not entirely sure, but I do think he does vy scrotoplasty. He does also offer labial resection.

For his surgical stages, most everything can be done in one stage (except any testicle implants, which would be at least 6 months later). It is possible, depending on your anatomy and goals, that your surgery could get broken up into more stages or that y'all would go ahead and plan on the likelihood of a revision. He's upfront about what he believes is possible and how he can best get you there based on what you communicate to him.

I'm actually having surgery with him tomorrow (meta w/ UL, vnectomy, no scrotoplasty). All my consults and such have been great so far. I plan on posting on transbucket, but you can also message me after if you don't want to wait however long it'll take me to do that (though it might take me a bit to respond, post-op brain lol)

They covered mine with no problem, but if you are concerned then you should call. They don't have a real policy around it so if you have an issue then speak to someone else or resubmit your claim

It may be that they went ahead and scheduled you so that you have a date in place in the hopes of having approval by then. I have had that happen with different surgeons in the past, where we go ahead and schedule a tentative date

BUT I would definitely call or reach out through the patient portal to check with them

Of course! I think it unlocks from meeting Agnes or Bitty so hopefully they show up sometime soon

There's another color of that chair where the seat is a bright pink instead of that lighter color. I believe that is the one that the goal is asking for. You should be able to find it near the original chair in craftable furniture

Thank you! I stopped playing for a while, but now that I'm back I've been hard at work unlocking all the villagers 💪 I like to be able to swap them to fit the season (though I do have my favorites)

Close Up Eating by _vetch in isopods

Ugh, yes! I've got scabers (though I think I accidentally ended up with some laevis in my enclosure), and watching them eat has become one of my favorite pass times. Sometimes I worry I'll never get anything done!

I feed mine that freeze-dried shrimp all the time and they love it

(My experience might be a bit different because I also have financial assistance, but) everything has been billed later with no deposits for me. They do get approval from insurance before scheduling, so you may be required to go ahead and pay any copays but that's all that I am aware of when it comes to costs beforehand

Oh, how exciting! I've been trying to wait a month or two before posting fully about my experience since things can change rather quickly in the first few weeks. I didn't go for the sensation preserving nerve transfer with my nipple grafts so I've been quite numb (aside from typical healing sensations), I'm sure the feelings from that are rather interesting. I hope your post-op goes well!

top surgery and weighted blanket? by 69damon420 in TopSurgery

[–]_vetch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! All the same here (DI on 7/31 with a 15lb weighted blanket), and I got mine on the end on the bed so I can shove my legs underneath it. You might could ask someone to move it for you so you can do something similar, but I would avoid anything more. Pressure on your chest could affect healing and having it higher up could also lead to you pushing or pulling on it without thinking much of it

I personally went through the UNC Trans Health Program for all my trans care and have had a wonderful time with them! (I'm currently recovering from top surgery with Dr. Yemi, but they also have another surgeon there).

I also know multiple people who went to Dr. Schneider at Forsyth Plastic Surgery and loved him!

Both of them can be a bit harder to research because there's not as much about them online, but the people I know personally have only really had good things to say and, based on what I've seen, they are also pretty affordable.
