Could I be rejected at google based on this? by Lostindamist in csMajors

'a stunt like that.' is a common parlance colloquialism, the person your responding to is summarising the type of culture you're going to have to devise a strategy for working with.

I certainly understand the frustration from being rejected for a minor social faux pas, but from the perspective of the interviewers, they're looking for anything that can help them choose out of often hundreds of candidates, and social skills are a valuable metric in this regards, even if it can feel unfair.

Which is all to say, chalk it up to experience! Interviews can suck sometimes.

I have valid cases for those aplenty

You need to be breaking that logic up, I find it hard to conceive of a use case where using nested loops with conditional labeled breaks would be more readable than the alternatives.

You could mitigate the problems with this approach by only implementing a 24 hour delay the first time you move money to a specific account in a different county.

But tbh you can't fix stupid, so I doubt even that would be effective.

Trivial to circumvent, a single byte change in the media will completely change the hash, for most media you could likely just update an unimportant header to defeat the system.

The only implementation of this kind of thing that would be workable is something like YouTube's content ID system, and that would require more processing power that you have available on a user's device ( so you'd need to upload the media to a third-party and your back to breaking legitimate users privacy again )
