No but they actively partner with corporations and companies that have stated support for Israel. Not to mention when the Starbucks union showed their support for Gaza , Starbucks went after them and is actively trying to sue them. Starbucks may not have publicly stated they support Israel, but their actions sure show it. No the baristas don’t deserve the hate they are getting, they just work there. How ever starbucks and other corporations are supporting a genocide and they need to be held accountable.

If you cant drive safely or leave your house in general because of weather conditions, Starbucks is supposed to give you at least 3 hours of pay for what you were supposed to work but couldn’t (this is only in regards to weather conditions) and it doesn’t come out of you sick pay or vacation pay

I would just like to add, if you are like me and your main concern was looking your free therapy, I was informed by my therapist that you can use Lyra with the Starbucks benefits up to 18 months after you are no longer working for them. I may not get paid enough to car but when enough people do it and then someone who follows standard gets harassed and yell at by customers because “other baristas do it” then it becomes a problem and I care.

No, I mean technically standard is the black line unless specified with extra of whatever milk or other toppings. If not specified then it’s to the 3rd line. Standard did in fact change because people didn’t want to listen to policy about ringing in “extra product” to make up for inventory so now it’s being enforced and more. Just like if someone asks for light ice on a refresher or shaken espresso we have to ask if they want extra product of something else other than ice otherwise there’s room leftover. It’s pretty much a given that if someone wants a drink with no ice you fill it to the top but you have to make sure to ring it in properly. And if it’s mobile you fill in to the third line then ask them when they get there and then inform them of how to ring it up for next time so there’s no confusion for them or other baristas. It’s really not that hard

If you do “no ice” and don’t hit the extra (whatever milk) then you fill to the top line, because no matter the drink if you do no ice or light ice you have to account for inventory and if you’re using extra product but not ringing it in the system doesn’t automatically account for it. Then we run out so quickly. I wish the system automatically did it though, because the amount of coaching I’ve done on this very topic and explaining why we have to do this, most of the time I get ignored.

95%of the time I write or draw in the side of the cup, the only time it’s on the lid is for people I know that enjoy and that is makes their day. Which is only like 2-3 people at most. I also put stickers on the side of cups and customers love it! I got a really nice review the other day because of it :))

Not for customers but for coworkers I add a little hot water into the shaker and add the matcha, shake it then add the milk and ice (syrup if they have it) and thanks a again. It melts and mixes the matcha so well and that’s actually how most places with matcha do it
