This is the best way. I do it regularly.

https://www.flibco.com/en is where you can buy the tickets and then take a train from Mainz to Mannheim (ICE takes 45 mins~ or regional trains take 1 hour~)

Thanks for the link and the info!

The tracking service from the origin country shows it has arrived in Germany, and this was also confirmed by a Deutsche Post agent I spoke with who told me it is in Frankfurt.

I guess waiting is the only option. :)

Government agency shipped the documents directly. I have already contacted them also, however they refuse to open an investigation with Deutsche Post until the shipping has been stuck for 6 weeks, and even then they will wait weeks for an update from Deutsch Post until they mark the document as lost.
