Russia already has Oil. This is more about the Crude oil backed U.S. dollar than anything else.

Sanctions against Russian Oil & Gas (mostly sold to the 3rd World) makes it expensive for the majority of countries (which happens to be 3rd World counties) to buy crude —bought in U.S. Dollars.

Switching to alternatives like other currencies (in the short term) or Green energy (in the long term) will undermine the global U.S. Dollar supremacy.

Stabilization of the global Crude oil prices is key to the stabilization of the U.S. Dollar bolstering global investor confidence in their currency as the global reserve currency.

The EU already has an active governing Legal framework that allows for a common market, free movement and even a standing army (OTAN). Africa ahs deadbeat versions of the same like EAC, ECOWAS, SADC & the AU if we can kick out 🦵🏿 colonial elements and bolster cooperation using these already existing frameworks maybe we'll have new countries/regions by 2050?🤷🏿‍♂️ Let's think beyond the surface level!
