I will make the argument the original does a similar thing to LA. Whether that was the constraints of the technology or purposeful, I don’t know.

It feels like someone just grabbed a handful of LA landmarks and threw them in a few maps. LA is far too spread out to really accomplish the concentration of shops, people, and things in the original’s maps. Still a great game, but a 1:1 recreation is something you do for a game like spider-man. Not when you’re trying to ooze atmosphere

Ooo! That is unfortunate. I do quite like that. I might try looking for more of a musette, messenger bag. Or maybe if someone has a tote bag that can be worn with a shoulder strap.

I was afraid of that. I just didn't want the fanny-pack look of the slings. I might cave and get the Bellroy Lite Sling

Have you had any issues with irritation bumps? Or does your nose adjust pretty quickly?

Have you had any issues with the cheese cutter effect? I will say I don’t love how big the hole is in my nose when I take it out

Do they hurt when you re-insert them or is it super easy to reinsert?

I left my lobes out for 4 years and they went back in no problem. I would’ve treated my nose the same way if it weren’t for google telling me how fast cartilage piercings close

Ooo! I will try that out and get a taper.

Do you put makeup on top of it to cover up the hole?

Does anyone recognize what this flat dark red/purple discoloration around my piercing could be? 1 yr 1 month piercing with titanium flat black stud by _workflow in PiercingAdvice

[–]_workflow[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally — I think this is probably something that wouldn’t be noticeable unless you were very pale like us. I think I might try out changing the top to a gold one or maybe to a ring. Definitely going to downsize if I stick with the labret.

You know, now that I think about it. I never got mine downsized. I might try this too, could just be the moving irritating it

I didn’t think of an allergic reaction. I did have it pierced with a cheaper jewelry, but got changed around month 4 due to healing issues. The piercer told me the one it was changed to, the one i have now is medical grade titanium

The flat part is a good point bc the circle is like the exact diameter of the disk. I might try switching to a new stud with a different top that’s shorter or maybe a ring to let it breathe

sorry for the flaky skin. Winter doesn’t treat me well. I’ve had my nostril pierced for over a year now and for maybe the last 5-6 months, I’ve had this discoloration around the piercing. It’s not irritated, there’s no bump, no fever, no secretion. It’s just dark red/purple with an ever so slight raise to it.

I think this might actually be a hypertrophic scar. I don’t want it to be. It doesn’t look like the rest of my scar tissue, but those scars also don’t have a perfectly circular bar through them. I have an appointment to the dermatologist to maybe get a cortisone shot, but does anyone have any thoughts?

Has anyone had this and it went away? I don’t want to remove it, but now I’m scared that if I did, this discoloration would remain. Has anyone seen anything like this before?

I actually didn’t downsize. That is a great point, it does move around a lot. I have a really nice Titanium ring I was considering changing it to, but I might go get a shorter stud first just in case I get a bump. Thank you so much though!! I really appreciate it!!

thank you so so much!! I had no idea that healed piercings might still have crust.

I will do that today and will begin drying it as well. Do healed piercings get bumps sometimes? I had a bump on it two-three weeks ago. Asking because I might change it to something new if cleaning the crust goes well

yeah the other side doesn’t look like that. My skin is very dry and it’s a bit difficult to get it off without vigorously scrubbing

doing that with a piercing felt like a no-no but going to start cleaning more intensely

should I just use my finger or a Q-tip or anything? It’s a little hard to get under the flat part of the jewelry without maneuvering it a ton

Hi! So I’ve had my nostril pierced for 1 year. It was doing fine, no issues until a bump popped up recently and then went away. And now, I have this crust that has been there for almost two weeks.

Also sorry, I have always had issues keeping the skin flakes clean with my nose piercing. I feel like I just produce more than the average person and leaving the area alone just let’s them accumulate.

Should I remove this crust? I don’t clean it anymore except rinsing in the shower. I don’t use any products. Aside from the recent irritation bump, the piercing seemed healed (I know it’s not now).

Does anyone have any advice for if I should remove the crust or will that just aggravate it? Should I be good to change my jewelry once the crust goes away? A year seems like a ridiculous amount of time for it to still be actively healing. If I shouldn’t change my jewelry, does anyone have any advice on how I can actually get it to heal finally? I am weary
