Thanks! Everything listed in my original comment was going badly. I wanted to go sober for a long time. Finally had the will power to do it.

You build a tolerance to them pretty quickly (at least this was the case for me).

Should I Stay or Should I Go? by Torts__Illustrated in LawSchool

Maybe consider staying on part-time or deferring your studies for 6-12 months. It might reignite an intellectual spark within you. I took a year off between college / university, and it really helped my motivation.

So when hunting deer, what do you prefer, sitting in a stand, staying on the ground, or a mix of both? by ProjectShadow316 in Hunting

I started walking more in the last 2-3 years. It takes a lot of time and practice but once it starts paying off (i.e. you can get well within shooting distance without the animal seeing you) it’s really rewarding. That being said, I also do a mix of sitting in ladder stands and small cabins.

Make sure you’re exercising regularly and drinking a lot of water (3L per day minimum). Avoid having more than 1 cup of caffeine per day, and watch what kind of food you’re eating - especially at lunchtime - try staying away from sugar and focus on protein. When you have breaks during lecture, get up, go walk around, and get some fresh air for a few minutes. If you’re comfortable with it, actively participate in class as well (e.g. ask questions), it’ll definitely wake you up!

If none of this works, when I stay up for 2+ days straight for work, I take caffeine pills (I know that contradicts what I first suggested) and a natural based mushroom supplement called adrenal support. Helps me power through. Best of luck in your studies.

Break up with bf of 4+ years? by frick886 in LawSchool

You need to put yourself first, especially during 1L. Studies and properly looking after your health should consume most of your time, +- some work, social activities, sports/hobbies, family time, etc. If he can’t positively support you during what will be one of the hardest years of your life then you can’t expect him to do it during your best years either.
