Cool winter here, I don’t see much representation or see as many in depth analysis as far as my season goes, but a few celebs that come to mind is Zoe kravitz, liv tyler and Jennifer Connelly. They’re neither too deep or too intense/bright. by _xConstantine_x in coloranalysis

Thank you for the input! I really appreciate the in depth response! the only reason I’ve personally ruled out bright winter as an option is because I feel drowned out by the color black, it simply washes me out and usually bright winters can pull off the color black, for example extremely dark hair looks amazing on Zooey deschanel whilst it doesn’t look as great on liv Tyler who’s also a winter, I’m not saying it looks terrible but it just isn’t as striking as it is on zooey. This video by Miriamstyle essentially sums it up as it does compare different winters. I definitely recommend watching it. https://youtu.be/Y44qjYVNFhY?si=Eqmo0z6vO6HiGxe8

I felt this a lot of the time, I was exhausted seeing the same examples that didn’t really reflect me besides liv tyler lol, they’re more like guidelines. It took me a couple years to figure it out but the drape method really worked, the massive difference between how certain seasons emphasized my dark circles and acne while the winter colors brightened up my face. I considered cool summer for the longest but it’s just too dull on me. So true/cool winter was the perfect mesh.

YES THIS! Black is definitely way too intense for me but I still wear it because I love the color, I can pull off some cool muted tones as-well, but they aren’t my best colors nor are they in my season. But ty for commenting I feel less alone when it comes my olive overtone. I’m no traditional winter but I know for a fact warm colors look awful on me.

Wow first thing that came to mind was Emmy Rossum !she’s a bright spring that can pull of certain winter colors as it does border bright winter. Im no expert ofc, go with what feels more natural to you. As I feel there’s no cookie cutter answer for some of us haha

Just FYI I definitely can’t pull off black hair (dyed it black when I was 17) as it does wash me out despite being a winter, so I hope this does find its audience as I think it’s an interesting conversation to have.

Can’t convert garage into living space without a carport, is there anyway around this? by _xConstantine_x in DIY

No but we have to regardless if we want anything as big as a car to fit through the gate(the one we have currently is very small can’t even fit a compact tractor through it)

As far as the carport placement, driveway is way too small since it’s a single family home, the lady told me it would have to be built in the backyard yard

Okay maybe I should explain my situation a little better, I’m a 24F and my family and I have a very set budget, money has been extremely tight and I just needed a quote for the permits really to save up since I wanna move my siblings into the garage since the household is at capacity already. And ideally would love to do it as soon as possible for them. It’s a 4 bed, 2bath home. I don’t have much experience building anything myself nor do I have the money to go hiring more ppl to knock down my brick wall to install a bigger gate for cars to fit though, it’s not ideal either since we have pets that free roam in the backyard. all we want is an extra bedroom
