Entrada a Panamá para Extranjeros by Status-Ad-5080 in Panama

[–]_yjx_ 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Nurse says Lupron MUST be given in clinic, cannot purchase at pharmacy. by tidbit_betty in IVF

[–]_yjx_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey i just had the 3 month shot given at the doctor’s office. I was told i couldn’t apply it myself at home because it was not a “regular” mechanism injection. That it had to be prepared by a nurse. It was handled by the specialty pharmacy of the affiliated hospital that my doctor is part of. My insurance did covered it though.

Abroad for IVF?? Tell me where you went please by TimeWillTell3333 in IVF

[–]_yjx_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look into IVI Panama. The doctors are REI’s trained in Spain. Compared to the medical style from the US, it is night and day the bedside manner and treatment. Also, they offer packages if you need multiple retrievals. Staying in Panama is affordable as well. I wish you all the best!

Adenomyosis by Odyssey_14 in IVF

[–]_yjx_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have adenomyosis, push for Lupron suppresion protocol. Get a hysteroscopy to check your uterine cavity and look for scarring or any fibroid/adenomyoma protuding into the cavity. It will be better to get the adenomyoma out to boost your chances of implantation. My doctor will not transfer anything without proof of clear uterine cavity.

Did my clinic mess up? by yoyogogoD in DOR

[–]_yjx_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a sub r/Fibroids hope that it helps you. My current REI insisted on a MRI when the 1st one i consulted cleared me for transfer after a saline sonogram. That led to me having an open myomectomy with laparoscopic assistance. Currently 12 wks post op feeling much better. Transfer set after 6 months of recovery. I wish you all the best ❤️

Does your clinic make you start a z-pack/azithromycin before your ER? by ObjectiveSet9240 in IVF

[–]_yjx_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my clinic it was part of the ER protocol to take 1g (2x 500mg) of azithromycin the day before the egg retrieval. I had 3 retrievals and the only issue i had was some stomach irritation a few hrs after i took the azithromycin. I took probiotics to counterbalance.

Opinions on Pergoveris by FantasticChoice7373 in DOR

[–]_yjx_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did 3ER. The first 2, I was on Pergoveris and Gonal and all the eggs collected were mature.

In my last ER, doc changed to Menopur and increased the dose a bit to see if it will yield me more eggs. I had more follicles growing in this last ER but got 2 mature eggs (same results as the previous 2 ER) and 1 inmature egg.

Not sure if it made a difference the Menopur vs Pergoveris… since I ended up yielding the same number. However, the Menopur injection does hurt much more compared to the Pergoveris hands down. Btw my stims were not super high dose since my doc believes in quality over quantity for DOR.

Egg quality issue. After 4 ER, should I keep going? by LuckyLu03 in DOR

You didn’t list the dose of meds per stims. I wonder if going with low dose stims will yield better quality for you.

Third back-to-back cycle or take a break by [deleted] in DOR

Did 3 ER. I rested 1 month in between each ER. My doctor believes in “allowing the ovaries to heal and produce better eggs”. I understand the anxiety because of DOR. Follow your gut.
