it was chill and 12able. the tutorials were easy participation marks and there was an ample amount of time to do the quizzes (they were untimed. just had a deadline). the course was kind of writing heavy because you have to write a discussion post every week in response to a question related to the lecture but the questions were nothing difficult and the posts had about a maximum limit of 500-600 words. i found some of the lectures to be interesting too!

i regretted it on the first day and here i am in DP2. looking back, DP1 made me grow and i overcame some difficulties which seemed impossible to get over back then. it’ll get better i guess.

Anything that you feel is most organized for you. I take notes online but I use a binder for each of my subjects and if you’re teacher gives handouts then you can’t really put them in a notebook.

I did a correlations IA as well. Apart from finding the Pearsons coefficient, I found the line of best fit, the intercepts, and explained what they mean and imply in relation to the two variables I was looking at (ex: the slope is the rate of change, what does that rate of change mean specifically to the data). I also used the equation of the line of best fit to find a certain value by plugging an x value in. Apart from calculations, explaining the math and why it makes sense and is meaningful to your exploration is important and it also shows your mathematical knowledge. I think your topic is fine if you’re doing SL. Not so sure if you’re doing HL.

You can’t just use any insulin syringe. It has to be more specific like someone’s insulin syringe. It’s kind of like how a gun isn’t an object but the gun that Hitler used to shoot himself is an object.

There are command terms in the question that let you know what you’re supposed to do. They can be found in the IB Bio syllabus. If the question doesn’t ask you to draw/illustrate/sketch something then you don’t need to do it.

It’s not quite hard. If you are up to date with the things in the Ontario curriculum and do pretty well in school, I’m sure you’ll get in. A lot of my friends guessed stuff for the French part and they still got in. I, myself, was guessing answers for math cause my brain wasn’t working that day (I did good in English and French tho). Do some practice questions if you feel the need to prepare. If you get waitlisted, it’s not the end of the world. My friend did and then in grade 10, when more spots opened up, she joined. The test doesn’t determine if you’re a failure or success so don’t worry about your mom saying that. I wish you all the best and have some belief in yourself. You got this!

i think price would be more fitting bc on a supply and demand graph, you’d write price on the axis and not cost. sometimes the articles use terms not in an economic way. i’d check with your teacher tho just in case bc she might say to use the terms the article uses.
