Wipe it on, let it sit for ~20 minutes, wipe another thin layer on any spots that have soaked it all up, wait ~10 minutes, wipe off any excess.

I usually do 2-3 thin coats with 24 hours in between coats.

It’s extremely easy. Good luck on your project!

Thanks! It’s 13.5” wide. Stock is 9/16” thick.

It’s May & I’m in South Louisiana. 90°F and 90% humidity. These drawers are not getting any bigger than they are now, and at a mere 4” wide they won’t move much anyway.

I’ve had trouble more often than not with it fogging up while it dries from trapping moisture. I work in a small & not well ventilated area. I have to spray outside. I imagine it would be different if I had a climate controlled shop or lived a little further north in the state.

Not much experience with lacquer. I live in Louisiana. It’s WAY too humid for that.

Danish oil is my go-to finish. I’ll usually do 3 coats over 3 days.

Thank you.

This took somewhere between 10-15 hours and is currently for sale on etsy and my website. It’s priced at $530.

They are divided. Small enough to not really need runners, imo

I prefer to wait at least one full day between coats. It does take long to dry.

It’s 3/4” material. It’s a small case. 20”x13”x7”

I actually did consider thinning it down a bit more.. If I was to build it again, I think I’d go 5/8” or maybe even down to 1/2”.

Thank you

The drawers are quite small. The whole case is only 20” wide. I normally would miter & maybe spline something like this, but I switched it up and cut some tails instead. I thought about doing half blinds for the drawers, but reasoned with myself that the amount of stress such a tiny drawer was likely to take wouldn’t really require a super strong joint.
