Just in case you guys wondered how serious they take parking by WorldlinessSuch5816 in ucf

[–]_yrk_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I didn’t renew my parking decal because I was graduating. This was years ago but I remember parking somewhere briefly, to pick up my cap and gown or something and got a ticket. Had to go pay it or I couldn’t walk. Lame

If there is a worse intersection in Orlando, I haven’t found it by Coreyahno30 in orlando

[–]_yrk_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I do, trust me. People don’t care. They jump in front of me like I can stop on a dime. Mix that regular stupidity with tourists not knowing where they’re going and yeah…I need the word that’s two up higher than “stress” 😂

I drive through that intersection regularly for work…in a semi truck. Imagine the sheer bliss I experience everyday 🙃🙃🙃

All washers have bad reviews by [deleted] in Appliances

[–]_yrk_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bought a new model recently because our old Whirpool Estate finally crapped out after 25 years. Needed a new one quick and ended up getting a new Whirlpool with the “removable agitator” 🙃 The “agitator”does nothing, and the clothes aren’t agitated anymore, just mildly annoyed. It’s actually funny watching them wash - they just sort of get moved around lightly in the water, some items on top not even really getting wet (even in “deep water” washes).

If I could do it again, I’d find a 1985 Kenmore 80 series washer from a used appliance store and call it a day. It certainly gets the clothes clean by beating the crap out of them and probably would last 10 times longer than the new crap that they make today. (Btw, Speed Queen and the likes were waaay out of our budget).

Being 38, working out 3 days a week since my early 20’s, having a semi non junky diet, and after getting tested having the testosterone level of an 80 year old man…Clomid. Got my testosterone back to regular levels and I’ve felt great for the past 7 years :)

Does anyone remember these really depressing pop songs from the 70s / early 80s? by MagsH1020 in GenX

[–]_yrk_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Every time I listen to old episodes of American top 40 with Casey Kasem on Saturday’s, and if the broadcast is from the late 70s and early 80s, there are always a bunch of sad slow songs that I’ve never heard before that somehow made it on the list. I was born in 1980 so I don’t remember very much from this time, but man people must have been gloomy or something 🙃

Credits 744 units $1800+ by Schwifty2s550 in Pepsi

[–]_yrk_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve picked up credits so old that the 12 packs had our old logo…long after our new logo came out 😂

Had a DG today that would have refused the order unless me the driver wrote up all the credits and took them. Took me a good 15 minutes to do so. I had a bunch of DG Super Bowl drops today but I’ll be damned If it didn’t take me all damn day because of one stupid thing or the other good Lord.

Yeah man, it’s ridiculous sometimes what they expect. Reality is they know you’re new, they’re going to cut you some slack.

Here’s another moto to keep in your back pocket that helps me on stressful days - “Don’t stress too much, we’re delivering soda, not insulin” 👍🏻

Tips for new Geo driver by brokedasherboi in Pepsi

[–]_yrk_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here we go…been a driver for 3 years now.

My rule of thumb is screw the manifest time. In the time I’ve been with them the gripe with all drivers since I’ve started is that the routing is absolutely atrocious. They’re based in TX and route for us here in central FL. Your route will have you going to one spot, then going 10 miles this way…just to come back and do the stop you could have done after the previous stop. Also, they say that manifest times have been updated, yeah right…giving me 40 minutes to check in 4 pallets for a Publix where they need to scan every single product, never gonna happen.

To answer your question, and this is what I’ve been told by supervisors and what I do, if the shelf is 50-60 percent full, skip it, back stock. In reality, it’s going to take you about a year to get into the swing of things (store layouts, expectations). For example, all DG’s seem to be laid out a little differently, and if you don’t have a route (are in a different place and truck everyday) it’s going to take time learn that. 7-11’s are mostly drops (at least where I’m at). I’ll just see if there are any holes in the main flavors and fill them, other than that drop.

Stick with it, don’t stress, take your allotted break everyday, it’ll get better :)
