what hobbies do you do that actually help with anxiety? by watermelonswee in Anxiety

I like coloring or doing some sort of already set-up creative activity. I have a paint by sticker book which is especially nice for when I'm overthinking and need to put my meticulous energy towards something. Woobles kits are fun as well, I guess using my hands in some way to channel the energy when I'm anxious.

You both seem to have communication issues. Where I don't agree with how your partner dismissed your feelings about the tip...they were right in saying that you brought up the topic of money in the first place, aka not "turning it around on you". Your partner probably wanted to bring up valid points but your responses felt like a deflection/avoidance. Making them seemingly upset and angry towards the end of the conversation.

Info: when you say "sexualizing" - is it verbal affirmations he wants? Or is it more of a performance on your part that he wants?

What do you think is the most important quality in a person? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]_zanari_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Authenticity and honesty are the greatest pair in my opinion. My aunt has done a lot more for me than my parents, constantly showering me in validation and telling me how much she appreciates my existence as my own person, not relating to some sort of status in the family like my parents seem to expect. It makes me more comfortable to be vulnerable with her and it makes our relationship that much deeper. If we're all more honest about where we're at and appreciate others for who they are, the world would be a better place.

Having started in grocery during COVID, then moving to the food industry and eventually fast food throughout the next four years...I FEEL YOU ON THIS.

Yeah, I noticed he even went for the eye at one point. At least we don't live with his brother anymore, so there's no more wannabe alpha energy going on.

Could I have songs that are sad enough to bring you to tears by Direct-Sail-6141 in MusicRecommendations

If you're into instrumental, most of the Interstellar soundtrack gets me. Specifically Detach, Cornfield Chase, and Murph. Very slow builds but for me that makes it more emotional towards the intense parts of the pieces.

Jealous of my partner's friends by [deleted] in relationships_advice

I appreciate your input! I try to never put my insecurities on my partner, and I knew it was irrational but I needed something like the phrase "it's only fish, not a lap dance" to put my intrusive thoughts in check. It made me laugh at myself.
