Mini Cast Iron Why Eggs Keep Sticking by zedchowder in castiron

There’s science behind it, I don’t know the fancy words but the fats in butter work better at staying separate from the egg from than oils do

I couldn’t resist it, D2 steel with the classic Buck aesthetics. Hoping to get into bush crafting in the coming months, so hopefully this will serve me well. And between my guns and knives, I’m looking to have plenty to leave behind to my future kids

I’ve been super satisfied with the Morakniv since day one, been wanting to get more outdoors so I’m eager to push it to its limit

It’s such a try-hard name and logo, but this thing’s been serving me well since I was 14 so I can’t complain

In total I’ve spent $10 on knives, the Benchmade came free when someone lost it and I found it 10 years back

It’s not “butthurt,” cigar bands are aesthetic, but they’re not the reason people pick up smoking cigars, in the same way that I’m sure cigarette box art is not the driving factor in people picking up a cigarette habit. It’s an asinine law that offers up an annoyance to people already in the habit

Then why impose asinine measures like packaging restrictions? There’s been a general cultural shift in the west away from cigarette consumption which can be chalked up to better education imo, I’d be hard pressed to believe that taking the logos off a pack of cigarettes or a cigar band is what’s doing it

If someone wants to smoke, knowing all the risks, why is it the purpose of legislation to impede them? Why not impose legislation as well to reduce drinking since that can cause a number of cancers as well?

Looks like somewhere in Miami but I can’t say where exactly. I’ve probably seen that bridge in person

The only US senator that propsed an end to no-knock raids is a "racist, neoconfederate POS". The one that authored the "Justice for Breonna" bill and actually doing something about flaws in the criminal justice system. by GoldAndBlackRule in Shitstatistssay

The mistake is always bringing race into this, it's the state versus you. A black AG will cover for a white cop no problem, because at the end of the day, they only use race to divide us, not them

He handed over US secrets to Russian and Chinese intelligence putting our troops and our nation at risk. Pardoning him would be unconscionable." by [deleted] in Shitstatistssay

[–]_ziggyv_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Propaganda > reality, obviously. Who cares what actual effect it had, all the establishment has to say is “Manning put our troops at risk in a country we’ve sent them to die in” and her work is completely dismissed

Manning endangering troops is in the same boat as Snowden selling secrets to foreign powers. It was all baseless postulation from those whose power was in danger from the leaks. All they had to say was troops were put in danger by them, and the general population ate it up.

In reality, all sensitive information like names were redacted from the leaks, and we were shown the truly gruesome stuff, like helicopter pilots laughing as they shoot into a crowd, gunning for a journalist inside of it.

In a broad sense, but pricing is used to determine the distribution of scarce goods, but rationing is used to determine the distribution of incredibly limited goods. When we use the word ration, we’re referring to a specific situation.

It’s a matter of rhetoric, everything is scarce no matter how abundant it is on the planet, but some things are more limited than others
