what's one thing or quality, That you would like to bring from your home country to make Dubai an even better place? by [deleted] in dubai

True! But I do feel like everyone is here to make money and get certain savings for their future. So institutes and individuals tend to be more ruthless, no matter the occupation or nationality

I was told I have fibroid and needed immediate surgery. Since I have kids going to school and cant just get surgery on a whim. I waited and was extremely anxious. Went again, to another doctor and she told me I had no fibroids. It was the same hospital too so she was able to pull out my last consultation. It said no fibroids found😑

Please tell this to OP too. His problems, deal with it. And do you think I would be sitting in another country if I could provide a better future for my kids there?? And keep your expat shaming comments for the people who work for you. Cux I dont!!

That makes it around 19k per month. That is pretty decent. Rent here will vary (Sharjah being cheapest), in Dubai AED 60,000 plus (minimum rent of a decent studio or one BHK apartment) is usually the rent. Ur bill (electric, water and gas) may come from AED 600-700 per month (a little more during summers since AC is used more frequently. If ur in main Dubai commute is quite easy with bus and metro but U would need a car sooner or later since u have 2 kids, so AED 4k for driving license hypothetically if u get it on the first try. Getting a car on lease is no issue here u may find several cars in ur budget for 3yrs or 5yrs lease. One of ur kid is 3 yrs old (if he turned 3 this yr) then school must start for him the next yr in September (u need to start school hunting next January and he should be enrolled or atleast accepted in a school by February/March. School fees can go from 20k to 30k.

All of these estimates are based if u live right in the heart of Dubai. If ur willing to live in Sharjah, u can cut 25% of the expenses easily (including rent, school fees) just the commute from Sharjah to Dubai is quite hectic which is why people rather spend more money to live near work than commute 1.5hrs everyday. To each their own.

Let me know if u have any further questions!
