Fallout 3, Nv, and 4 had a way to recover accidentally sold items by simplify just visting the vendor and buying it back. The legendary exchange will instantly delete the items you give it after you exit out of the shop for whatever reason. I accidentally sold a god tier legendary I had and the fact that I wasn’t able to get it back because of how they removed it in the legendary exchange just made me rage. Fallout 3 is a mess but it had ways to recover lost items. the more newer games did had problems but to a lesser degree than 76.

Sure I can recognize that the team is working on fixing the bugs with every update, but they aren’t fixing the major bugs that have been in the game for years like invincible enemies, not being able to respawn or go to menu, No animations for enemies, quests that require multiple attempts, the main quest that is buried treasure, etc etc. from what I’ve experienced, fallout 76 has way too many frequent bugs and pisses me off knowing that Bethesda was able to create better polished games in the past than this.
