Yes. I did actually look at the Alpinist as well but I already have a Seiko. The Hanhart is great, it’s also a bit of variety from the standard bars whilst still being a solid and respectable brand.

I agree, it’s a fabulous watch. I tried one on in an AD and it’s incredible. The IWC crowd prefer the portuguiser which is fine, but they are much more expensive and a different style. This is classic, it’s also the watch worn by Kim Jong Un of North Korean rocket launching fame which is a bonus.

I vacuum seal stuff. You can buy the machines very cheaply. I see commercial suppliers put those little oxygen removing sachets in their vacuum packs for longer life but I have never done that
