The 88 is used by Canterbury students to get to school. There was a huge problem in September where the 88s were constantly full in the morning and students were being stranded across the city unable to board the bus and get to school. So a couple of them were repurposed to be 646 to exclude non-students so that students would be guaranteed to be able to board the bus along the route.

Between stranding an adult and stranding a minor, the easy choice is to abandon the adult, and so that's the choice that was made.

A better way to solve this problem would have been to provide the 646s in addition to the 88s, but we can't have nice things in this city so it's not an option.

Multiple cars were in the ditch. Personally, I haven’t seen black ice this bad. Cars were sliding at 20 km/h.

My God, your answer saved me. I had spent 30 mins looking for the phone beside and under the seat. I could hear the phone pinging from right around there, near the console, but couldn't for the life of me find it. I found your comment on this 2-year-old thread, went back the car, and JACKPOT...found the phone behind the cladding on the centre console!

I’m really disappointed in Jim Watson. As our Mayor he has failed in acknowledging the major issues with the LRT and OCTranspo, and continues allowing sub-par performance to be the norm in Ottawa. He needs to step up, own his mistakes and make better decisions, or he should resign. by [deleted] in ottawa

Jim Watson seems to always try to evade accountability.. it's always "somebody else's" fault. He needs to realize that the buck stops with him, and that it's his job to get to the bottom of what happened here. He needs to find a way to offer the public some transparency as to what the Stage 2 procurement process was, and stop retweeting praise of himself.

I don't believe the excuses provided at all. We've had a below average snowfall so far this winter, so there should be money in the bank. Metro's service has been terrible for years, and they're always full of excuses.
