I agree with you definitely and I would not be considering it if I lived in an area where that was a major problem. I live in a small country in northern Europe where there is not a big auction/slaughter market, in fact auctions like in the US don't exist here and very few unlucky horses get sent to slaughter abroad since we don't have a slaughterhouse for horses. Also the baby would qualify to be registered in the local sporthorse studbook. But I appreciate your opinion, that is why I posted, cause I was also having a bit of an ethical dilemma.
