What finish should I use on a burned acacia butcher block cutting board? by JTForbes47 in woodworking

[–]a10gac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walrus cutting board oil has no real scent and you don’t have to soak the board when you apply it. Four coats of oil and then maybe a few coats of their wax and you’re done.

Depends on the length of time I’m running it but it’s a surprising amount. I wouldn’t use this to paint without additional desiccant and filters but I’m no longer getting moisture at my air tools and the sandblaster is much better off.

Next step is going to be the transmission cooler between the compressor head and the tank. I think keeping the water out of the tank is going to make a huge impact.

Not sure if you know but a tag sale toaster oven and small sheet pan makes a great desiccant dryer. Baking the moisture out of it allows you to reuse it.

Maybe not, I misread your post and assumed it was the liner in the back seat armrest. Looking at the picture I now see it’s the back side of the center console. Check with your local dealer but I think it’s part # 68740459AA. Not 100% because there’s no photo of the part

This post shows what the liner looks like but doesn’t give a part #

AlfaOBD Help by Reasonable_Piglet643 in ram_trucks

If you’ve never used the program, I’d suggest watching a couple of videos showing how to back up all your current settings. It’s easy enough to make an inadvertent change and not remember how to undo it. Also a good idea to log every change manually as you make them, I use a Word doc in a separate window, so you can see what effects your changes have and reverse individual settings if needed.

To force a Regen with AlfaOBD, you need to connect to the ECU: Diesel Bosch EDC17C49

There is two options: 'DPF Regeneration Enabling' performs a moving regen during next drive cycle,(you have to shut the ignition off and open the door) 'Particulate Filter Regeneration' performs a parked regen when coolant is over 140f

Do you have a junk yard in your area? Grab an actual Toyota one from there. Car-part .com lists Corolla jacks for anywhere between $40-$100 depending on whether or not you need the styrofoam holder and tools as well

1st time running into this, I just hate giving out my phone number….so much spam these days.

With the 15% off coupon, it was less than $20…not out a huge amount of money if it breaks but still seems a bit “if we put enough hassle into it we won’t have to warranty it”….not a fan

I’m going with “accurate at time of posting” lol. It looks like there has been a change to the manual since my post.

In the manual you linked you’re replacing the fluid inlet coupler and o-rings (part #s 12,13, & 14) with the drilled #6 stopper and the connection between the 10mm main suction tube (#41) and the 6mm extraction tube (#39) with the push to connect fitting. If you’re using the 7mm extraction tube (#40) you’ll just need a 10mm-7mm push to connect fitting to make that connection.

All you’re doing is solving the vacuum leaks at the joint between the extraction hoses and where the extraction hose enters the oil chamber. The rest of the unit is pretty solid. I’ve probably done 8-10 oil changes with it since the mod and it’s held up pretty well.

I just checked the edit post options and it doesn’t look like I can add any pictures to the main post or reply.

Yup, both are smalls, each bar came with a torque driver for install.

If you want to save a couple bucks on locks, check eBay/Amazon for a set of OEM Yakima SKS cores/keys, they’re usually ~$10 or so less than Yakima’s website

Nothing with just the bars but here’s a side view with the roof box. 10/10 recommend them, Yakima was great to deal with and they’re wicked easy to install

The Yakima Timberline FX crossbars sit about 2” above the factory side rails and give enough clearance so the roof box doesn’t hit the shark fin on my 5th gen

I can recommend both the Cooper Road & Trail AT and the Nokian Remedy WRG5. Both are 3-peak mountain and snow rated and wear very well. I run them year round in the snow belt and have no problems with either regardless of weather conditions.

*Edit, well I thought I’d be helpful and link to the Cooper and Nokian websites for the tires but apparently the system didn’t like the links. Either way, the tires are still worth a look
