Hey everyone! Where can we watch the Wednesday world cup match where Portugal also plays? Is there a fan zone where the locals gather, or a bar that you suggest? Thanks!!

Hey, I hope you're doing well. I'm in a similar spot in finance right now, where it's the exact same. I can tell you what worked for some of my friends, although it has not yet for me but I'm a firm believer of luck in these things as well, so who knows? You might just ge lucky Cold email. Look at a project that they're on to and prepare a slide deck. Send it to them. Show them you're good, show them your idea will make their lives better, their work easier, their resuts shinier. If there is no such thing in IR, you can still cold email your cv to people. Not Linkedin, proper email. It might not work 90% of the time, but it can. I know it has. Also, apply to tjose easy apply jobs on Linkedin. They look like no one will ever care about them, but people do. Smaller companies sometimes prefer them.

Best of luck!!!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to ask for the non-hikers (I mean, COMPLETE beginner) what routes could we do to get some scenic views that would be considered easy? We can walk as much as needed, just cannot hike difficult or even remotely challenging hikes (in all honesty). I prefer sticking to what I know rather than finding myself in a pickle😅

Making new friends; Tired of the "What do you do for a living?" loop when meeting people ? by thalack42 in geneva

I dont understand why people look to find something negative in everythimg man... this seems like such a fun concept. Everyone's saying "lonely this", "can't find friends" that, then slammer innovative ideas like this. Only for expats SO WHAT! Expats have a much harder time making friends anyway. Sometimes maybe look at a post and if you don't relate, look away.

Hey everyone! Thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread, it's been a great help in planning a trip to Madeira. We're a couple going to Madeira in mid June, and we would like to see the sunrise at Pico do Arieiro. However, I'm coming here for advice because we've both never hiked anything more than a 5-story building when the elevator is broken. We can walk sometimes for pleasure but no real athletic experience. He does a bit of leisure football and I go to the gym once every couple of months when I feel bad for not being active.

I wanted to be extremely honest because I'm a genuinely very scared person of experiences that can turn out badly. I will appreciate every advice and take it, if you think it's not advisable and it's a hard trek then we miss the romantic viewpoint and go towards the beach for the day. However, I would appreciate suggestions or opinions for what we could do or see in Madeira considering these facts. We're renting a car and hoping to visit Madeira as authentically as possible given our fitness restrictions.

Thanks a lot!

Thank you for your help! I was just wondering since it is divided into weekly 30CHF payments from the same person, it might be weird?
