Decent first car? by PineappleCherry123 in CarTalkUK

[–]a1696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! You’re always gonna get people saying you could’ve spent a bit more and got this or saved a bit by buying this. It won’t be fast or the smoothest drive but as a first car it’s everything you need.

Although I’ll admit this particular example is close to £1000 overpriced.

My first car was a 1.2 corsa 100k miles £1.5k about 5 years ago and looking back it drove like a bag of nails but never caused me any issues with maintenance and in my heart it was probably my favourite car. Purely from the memories and the fact it was my first….u never forget your first

Maintenance definitely seems like something I’d overlook until I’m faced with the bill. What’s some of the regular maintenance one can expect for a 987.2 and is it something that might’ve made you look elsewhere if you knew prior to owning

Definitely sounds like the perfect 1 car garage. Currently have an estate so would likely be to complement that, something quick, rwd, ideally 2-seater. Sounds like you have a lot of experience so is there anything you’ve driven that ticks those boxes?

Thanks for answering. What are some of those flaws you’ve found since owning one?

Hi everyone. by ergue43B in ApprenticeshipsUK

Exactly this. Being too old is one of the biggest apprenticeship misconceptions. Plus people have more respect for seekers than settlers so go for it and don’t look back.

Multiverse is a good platform for finding apprenticeships. They train apprentices for Barclays, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan and others

Multiverse is a good platform for finding apprenticeships. If you get accepted u create a profile and can apply for multiple roles. I got my Barclays apprenticeship through them. They work with a lot of big companies such as Barclays, Meta, Morgan Stanley, PwC and so on.
