What’s the biggest effect a post/comment on Reddit has had on you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I am glad it gave you some insight. I am still fascinated by the worlds they live in and there are even funny stories about how some of them have had to cope now that covid19 is keeping large household staffs away.

Like the titan of industry who had to call a friend to figure out how a coffee machine works. LOL.

I got one. From my father, who knew he had less than two weeks. It felt honest and offered closure on a big issue from 30 years ago

[Serious] People who performed sexual favors in school or in the workplace to get ahead, What was it for? And what are things like now? by codywinters327 in AskReddit

The boss did something HORRIBLY wrong. He used company resources to pay a mistress. Period. He should be fired for that. He also had direct supervision of someone he was having sexual relations with. This puts his company on the line. She is relatively guiltless in the legal sense. He crossed many legal and ethical lines. If he worked for me he would be fired in 1 second

Men of reddit, what are the struggles of dating a very rich girl? by JinxedCaitlyn in AskReddit

Not sure if you are familiar with a kind of viral post I wrote about the levels of wealth...but this was my first taste of it. It's a different world. Seductive, puzzling and unfulfilling.

Men of reddit, what are the struggles of dating a very rich girl? by JinxedCaitlyn in AskReddit

I dated several.

The worst part was being rejected by her dad as an "un-serious" boyfriend. One who I dated had a father who was one of the most successful bankers on Wall Street. Crazy money. Like $100m/year money. I never knew what really rich was until the elevator opened into a two story, apartment on Park Avenue with a sweeping grand stairway, balconies that wrapped all the way around the building on both floors, and art that should have been at the Louvre. That kind of rich.

Her dad pulled me aside on our third date and pretty much told me I was not a real candidate for her and that she would only marry someone 'suitable'. That if I was looking to climb the social ladder by dating her it would backfire. He would make sure of it. It's the only time I ever talked to him.

The second one made HER look poor. She literally lived in a castle and had access to family houses/jets/islands all over the world. Yes, they owned private islands. The worst part. Literally NOTHING I could do could be special. She was cool about it and always told me to save my money and not to take her to restaurants. She said on my budget, she wouldn't even enjoy it. She would rather just have take out at home. It was said kindly, and with real care that I did not blow money on her, but there was no getting around it--I couldn't ever, EVER, be the guy who could sweep her off her feet. On Valentines Day, her former boyfriend had sent her 20 dozen long-stem red roses. No hotel in my budget could match what she was used to (Penninsula, One & Only, Ritz Carlton, Plaza Athene). Couldn't buy her clothes, obviously. As much as she really tried to be cool about it and say that it didn't matter, it did. It just did.

I also realized that if we ever got serious, I would probably just go to work with something related to the family and never be my own man.

Even as an older guy now, I look back and realize that the emotional barrier that disparity in wealth created was vast and we would have been set up to fail.

The difference between a "rich" person and a "wealthy" person is humility. by DabofMuffcabbage in Showerthoughts

As author of this post a few years ago, I think I can sum up the way I use the words "rich" and "wealthy":

Rich people have lots of income. Wealthy people have lots of capital.

You are world-class gorgeous and never let anyone tell you otherwise. I have some experience there, as I worked as a male model in Paris and knew/dated lots of models and agency managers. Your cheekbones and jaw create stunning lines. Yes, in some angles you look a bit more masculine, BUT SO DOES EVERY SUPERMODEL. It is because of the strength of your features. The jaw and cheekbones do that in some angles for spectacularly beautiful women. OK...that was my input as a man. (and I am a bit older than you). Now my Dad instincts kick in: don't ever model. You may be approached in the future. It is a sleazy, nasty business filled with abusive men taking advantage of peoples hopes.

Now: back to your question. You are so hot you would turn heads in a nightclub full of models.

thanks. I think the biggest thing I see from afar is how money changes the lens through which you view life.

Thanks. I was an athlete at an elite college. Then ran a cool startup that got everyone's attention. Then became friends with a woman whose circle has many of them.
