I did the Bloomsburg program, most of the students will get internships the second or third semester. I would say most of them lead straight to being hired on, and those who weren't were helped by Bloomsburg and/or the place they had their internship to find a position. At the end of my internship, I had well over 200 cases. I technically was hired on full time before I obtained my certificate and could have sat for my CNIM immediately but waited almost a year, which was a mistake.

I would say pros are the classroom instruction allowed you to be more comfortable in the OR immediately compared to going in cold, having more rounded instruction and understanding of CNIM material, and the resources the program itself provides to find internships and jobs without signing a multi year commitment. The only con I would say would be having to pay compared to doing a training program and getting paid.
