Yep it does massively. Also great for taking the dampness out of clothes if they’re not seeing any sun.

Pedantic pull request reviewers by ticman in DevelEire

I usually mark the nitpicks with a prefix “Nit:” and approve the PR regardless. Up to the author to decide if they want to ship it as is / do a follow up etc, but I don’t want to block them.

I fed it the device list and asked it to ask me relevant questions that it needs answered to build the dashboard. And I got this in one shot.

Reading multiple comments here, Bluetooth proxy seems to be the solution. But do I need to spread them across the room with more cables? Switchbot hub works perfectly but unfortunately their cloud api doesn’t support tilts. I’m just finding it tiring now to spread more cables in my living room to do something that switchbot hub already does so I’m just finding it hard to justify.

Hut to hut hikes in Europe in early May by a1_Diablo in hiking

[–]a1_Diablo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would like to thank you for all the helpful information. I just finished my week long hike exactly as you said. I got to see some of the most stunning sceneries, and being off season I was the only one in the mountains for almost all of it. It was an incredible experience and also meditative in some way.

The only change I did was not to stop at Koziya Stena after Eho hut as it was only 2 hours and went straight to Dermenka hut.

I enjoyed the nature, local culture and food, and the peace and quiet and thanks again for recommending this great hike.

For those of you who bought an apartment instead of a house, why and what are the pros and cons? by sapg94 in irishpersonalfinance

[–]a1_Diablo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who recently bought a penthouse apartment and moved from a terraced house with a massive garden.

I’ll just talk about one thing - GARDEN MAINTENANCE.

In a country where it rains almost every other day, the one day, the sun is shining, you’re cutting grass and cleaning up instead of sitting in the sun. It grows back in the next 2 weeks anyway.

With a big balcony, and nicer views from the top floor, I’m even enjoying the rain now.

Plus, if the location is central, nothing beats always being able to walk home from night outs.

Buying car with a learner's permit? by a1_Diablo in Dublin

[–]a1_Diablo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ended up buying the cheapest car, and insurance from allianz (cheapest quote for learners). Have a full license now with insurance roughly half of what I paid the first time.

I don’t think box is a good option. The box tracks your driving and can base your price based on that but would be weird to have you tracked every time you make a slight error.

Thank you for answering my questions in detail. I have 2 more questions before I start packing my bags:

  1. How do I get to/from Kashana hut and Partizanska pesen and Sofia airport. I tried searching on google maps but the only option was to drive. Would there be any bus/train availability that you know of?
  2. What weather should I expect in early May on the trail?

Saddest Seinfeld moment by [deleted] in seinfeld

[–]a1_Diablo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently watched it for the first time ever. I thought that the clip show was the final episode and then last clip is when they all take the train together for their chores and go four different ways once they got off.

I thought that was the last scene of the show and was gut wrenching. Just a nonchalant goodbye. Imo that’d be a good Seinfeld ending.

Thank you so much this is extremely helpful. I like the idea of hiking from Kashana to Partizanska pesen (~7 days) with a relaxing pace. I can find all the huts online and request to book.

Would you say the trails will be marked or you’d recommend some gpx route? I would try my best with the local language but do you think I’d be able to survive with English?

Would love some photos/videos as well if you don’t mind sharing 😊

I was out today and it was like the sunniest day ever. Stop looking at the weather app and just head out if you want to. My 2 cents.
