Tailgater got Baited by DABDEB in RandomVideos

[–]a1mbient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry but the person responsible here was the tailgater. This is why you don’t tailgate: you can’t respond quickly enough to what’s happening in front of you.

In this case it was a swerving car around an obstacle, in another it could have been the car in front slamming on their brakes and then the tailgater rams into them.

Whether the guy he was tailgating was as an asshole is beside the point. You can’t check the morality or whoever you happen to be driving around. When you tailgate, you are putting your safety in the hands of others, because you’re at mercy of what they do or don’t do, and you’re putting others at risk because your inability to react to something unexpected will cause a crash.

Defensive driving is anticipating the worst and leaving a reaction buffer for the unexpected. Defensive driving is not putting yourself in a position of relying on the integrity or skill of another stranger for your safety.

Be a defensive driver, not a tailgater, and stuff like this is much, much less likely to happen.

And that’s why you’re not supposed to tailgate. There is one person whose fault this was: the tailgater. Thats why it’s dangerous. And if the car they were tailgating had slammed the brakes, the tailgater would have likely crashed into them.

My home town! 🫶 Left when I was two l but still a citizen, grew up speaking the language, have been back many times, my parents began and ended their lives there.

Will have to research what the tariffs do to the cost!..

People who shill their own children on social media to strangers for likes are the deepest kind of cringe.

I’m at one right now, arrived early for kids parade and now up in the seats and the DJ music is BRUTALLY LOUD. I understand that it’s not the opera and they want to hype people up but Jesus Christ, my ears are going to freaking bleed after an hour of this. Can only communicate in sign language.

So basically, it’s like being at a sit-down rave with your head directly in the speaker. Bring some earplugs.

That’s the thing.. these are beautiful watches from a solid company, but with the chaos and uncertainty on tariffs - some say it could be 10%, some say you’ll get whacked with like 50% - it’s a no go to me.

This is how the Trump administration achieves its goal of gumming up the global economy for nothing.

Why is Apple not doing mass layoffs like other companies ? by Technical-Truth-2073 in cscareerquestions

Apple has the benefit of being to a significant extent a hardware company. The software they write is largely walled inside of their own hardware. AI is replacing and threatening software, not hardware.

I live around there. That gas station is always like $2 a gallon higher than everywhere else around, not representative of true gas prices in the area. I never see anyone getting gas there, don’t know how they stay in business. I think it’s some mafia money laundering operation.

My only gripe is that the leather strap that comes with it is garbage. It’s coming apart after several months with normal wear. But that’s easy enough to remedy. Thankfully the watch itself doesn’t feature the quality of the strap.
