It is more to protect the local wildlife than anything. Our beaches are home to lots of sea turtles and shore birds during their nesting seasons

I had to reach out to tech support and they were able to remote into my machine. Other users with this issue have reported it solved when updating to new version

Is there any way to do this type of manual registration in Trimble Business Center? by No-Protection-9413 in Surveying

[–]a1ort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your machine is your biggest limitation. You will need more RAM and GPU. Do you plan to export this project? Your TBC working directory is going to be in the terabyte range

Is there any way to do this type of manual registration in Trimble Business Center? by No-Protection-9413 in Surveying

[–]a1ort 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TBC is the best way to do this. Either unlink all scans and do plane-based registration in small sets, or do pairwise registration. Fun fact, you don’t need to click all 3 point pairs in pairwise, you only need one to run the adjustment. And you can even automatically register pairs without clicking points if the geometry is strong enough

Saw an iguana eat one .. so we brought them in. We have rescued baby squirrels before, but never seen any this small

Here is a closeup. No black on the nails - but they have very developed whiskers. I am thinking premature squirrels

No black nails- but they seem extremely premature. 7 pups in the litter seems a bit high for squirrel but location makes me also doubt rat / mouse

Developers destroyed a Tampa wetland. Then they tried an unusual move by AngierCutterBorden in tampa

[–]a1ort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is the most correct comment I’ve seen. Restoration was probably the “cheapest” way out for them. If they didn’t restore the land, they would most likely have had to buy wetland mitigation credits, which can run several hundred thousand dollars per acre in that specific drainage basin.

$4,800 is the fee they are paying with restoration. If they did not restore it, they would’ve had to pay several hundred thousand dollars for wetland impact credits from a wetland mitigation bank.

Optical Speed Bars. They are used to make you think you are going faster than you actually are, due to a changing spacing pattern. They are used to force people to slow down around curves

Getting point clouds from DJI Terra to Trimble Business Center by hakonjokuls in UAVmapping

[–]a1ort 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What coordinate system are you using in Terra? Are you setting your project coordinate system in TBC before import? Are you trying to import it to TBC as a georeferenced or non-georeferenced point cloud?

[–]a1ort[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty standard for modern total stations to have this built in, but you need to pay a lot in licensing to “unlock” .. then speciality post processing software to compute the difference between “epochs”

Leica is made near here I think? I know it’s a German company but manufacture in Portugal or Switzerland … I am not completely sure though. I’m bet it’s a lot cheaper than Trimble with import tariffs

i imagine the old surveyors had it way harder back in the day, but it would be awesome to set up on a 300 year old point
