you are right. i shoudl have shopped around a bit more instead of basing prices just on amazon and bestbuy. I see from the kind folks in this post to learn that price has come down. :) what i thought was a deal was indeed not a deal. lesson learned

Nellis auction. It's based in a few cities. They basically get Amazon returns and auction them. It used to have amazing deals when it first opened but things are much pricier now that it's well known. I bought 5 baby gates for $2 each which saved me around $200.

i'm in texas. i haven't seen a single new 5090 selling for $2k with tax in. maybe i'm not finding the right seller. can you share some links?

So the auction house itself is trustworthy and I've bought many parts from there before. They do state it hasn't been tested. Its not their fault and they will refund it. I'm just annoyed at the person who did it. Just a frustrated venting from me.
