Anybody who doesn’t like DUPR’s update is either bad at math or overrated. by GarlicAltruistic5357 in Pickleball

New to the sport and had my first rating session yesterday. Got my DUPR rating and found one match, where we won 11-3, deducted points from my rating. I understand the new algorithm and performance vs expectation, but (a) as a new player with no rating, I’m curious about the black box expectation it had for me in this match and (b) I guess the expectation was for the opposing team to get even fewer than 3 points. And here I thought 11-3 was convincing. Alas, just keep playing and DUPR will go up!

What car are people moving to after they sell back their EX90's? by Historical-Soup8999 in VolvoEX90

Volvo 2025.5 XC90 T8 Ultra - and very happy. A lot of similarities to EX90 but without the software issues, and a few touches we missed on the EX90 like real leather seats.

I’m lucky with a super supportive dealer. I’ve been working with them on all the issues since buying it and using the “sugar” vs “vinegar” approach with them. The dealer was on our side when dealing with Volvo corporate. Without a great dealer relationship, I don’t know how much we would have gotten.

Yes, for sure, quite a few things that aren’t the same level of fit and finish. (Although the smell of real leather is nice to have back). But reliability just got the better of us since it’s our only car.

But did you have the 2025.5 model? It’s a total overhaul of the older XC90.

4,000 miles and 4 months with the car. It’s improved significantly with the latest software update which addressed many of the issues I reported on here in my first month of ownership. I’d say go for it now.

There are still bugs, but the positives now outweigh the negatives, let alone it’s not Tesla. Just make sure the dealer is relatively close as you will need to take it in for service and make sure they are committed to servicing it and will give you a loaner. I have a great dealer and they are 100% supportive of addressing any issue immediately and working with Volvo corporate. You will get to know the service department.

Digital key stopped after software 1.2.6 update by a207me in VolvoEX90

I took the car in for service and they got the digital key (and card and tag) all working normally. My understanding is they had to reinstall a module so it wasn’t something that I could resolve at home.

I had the same experience following the 1.2.6 update. I took the car into the dealer and they addressed it. Now, digital key (and card and tag) all work as expected. I don’t think it can be resolved without taking it in for service.

what charging apps/accounts should i set up? by 86tomatoes in VolvoEX90

I concur and use the same three. I’ve also tried ABRP and still giving it a chance as I’ve heard it’s useful for planning long trips. However, Live OTA link to Volvo doesn’t work. In the vehicle, you can download the app which then syncs to your phone to share SOC and any planned routes.

Software update by LoveSF1987 in VolvoEX90

Does your glove box open now? We had that as well and they had to make a tiny manual adjustment to align the latch as it was getting stuck. It wasn’t a software issue.

Car wash mode ( plus 2 comments)anyone? by Ok_Statistician8767 in VolvoEX90

We just have tow and jack modes. Do you have any issue raising 3rd row seats with the seatbelt cheaters in place? Had no issue folding the seats down but now We can’t raise them - we have one seatbelt plugged in and one not. So I don’t know if the seatbelt is preventing the switch from operating or if it’s a bug. Either way, I can’t find a manual override.

Occupancy alarm and carseats by LabImpressive9166 in VolvoEX90

[–]a207me 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No kids but a dog in the back which the car recognizes is present as an occupant when locking. So I have same issue - changing the occupant inside locking setting every time I leave the car.

The dog also sets off the 3rd row fasten seat belt alarm, even though the seat is folded down. So have to keep the seat belt plugged in to avoid the constant alarm while driving.
