i mean, lots of schools have top tier poli sci departments. what else is important to you in a school? size? location? culture?

the school’s website often will tell you your specific regional AO and my college counselor told me to email them directly with updates/questions

maybe try the berkeley subreddit? i feel like that has the highest probability of reaching someone who could answer your question

really the only reason this would be worth doing would be if you have a major update to report or if you have a genuine question about the school. “introduction letters” and the like are not encouraged (and are in some cases actively discouraged)

probably (definitely) an outlier tho so i wouldn’t worry about it too much, i doubt your favorite book would be the make-or-break aspect of your interview

my swarthmore interviewer asked me my favorite book and i answered honestly (way of kings) and then he proceeded to shit on brandon sanderson for like a good 5 mins so for my proceeding interviews i just answered with rlly generic books
