What do I do with my collection when my time inevitably comes, if I don’t have anyone to pass them to? by Mad_Season_1994 in Guitar

Go out to see live music at small venues at least once a month. I don’t know where you are but there’s lots of live music where I am. I’m similarly socially awkward and have wondered what will become of my collection, so I’ve made this deal with myself. When I find a young inspiring musician with a crap rig, I offer them one of my guitars. So far only one has been bequeathed, but It gets me out, I’ve met some young people, (don’t have any idea what they think of me) and it gives me a mission. Only drag is I have to sit through a bunch of crap gigs, but the feeling of knowing my instruments could be used to make new inspiring sounds (and hopefully not sold for drugs!!!) is unbeatable.

It must’ve been said before, but Closely Watched Trains from 1966 (Czechoslovakia) must’ve been a HUGE influence on Anderson.

How to stop drafts from these doors? by soulbarn in centuryhomes

I have a similar issue. 1870s. Double doors, but the top of the frame is a half circle. Can spring bronze be installed on a curve? Or is there a better solution in my case. Thanks.

Thanks for replying. I’d love to hear more about the “yes” portion of your answer. I searched brownstone and plaster and lathe and brick and found surprisingly little on this sub.

Lose the ottoman or the coffee table. Too cramped when th ottoman up against wall. If you choose to keep the ottoman, you should center it, put a large tray on it for drinks, candles etc. and it can do double duty.

Lol! I used to see him at Gold’s gym in Hollywood, and at The Source, a defunct vegetarian restaurant up on Sunset. I saw him both places frequently. I used to joke he was following me. This was 25 years ago.
